Today’s moving day (wahoooooo!) so we thought we’d slap up this week’s giveaway this morning to tide you over until we have a moment to post some house-related updates. Oh yeah, and it just happens to be the biggest giveaway we’ve ever done. By a long shot.
So I’ll get to the point. It was almost exactly one year ago that I first used a wet saw. It was love at first site, er, cut. And today we’re sharing the love, thanks to some help from The Tile Shop. And boy is it a lot of love to share. $3000 worth of love to be exact.
You guys probably already know The Tile Shop as an awesome spot for tile, tiling supplies, and even free DIY support (both online and in stores). In fact, a lot of stuff for our bathroom remodel last year was purchased there (or borrowed from my dad, who had purchased it there). So if any of you need the kick in the pants to get your next tiling job started (kitchen backsplash? bathroom update?) here it is: TWO of you are going to win a $950 gift card to The Tile Shop and a deluxe wet saw valued at $550. Who’s suddenly got tile fever?
Here are all the deets when it comes to getting your chance at our biggest prize to date:
- PRIZE: This wet saw and a $950 gift card from The Tile Shop (valued at 3K, baby).
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “TILE ME!” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: … let’s gush about tile. What sorts of tile are you loving? Warm natural stone surrounding an open shower? Glam metallic subway tile on a kitchen backsplash? Or maybe a modern mosaic on a fireplace surround?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 15th at 8pm EST
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
- PRIZE SHIPS: The lower 48 United States
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
******************************
Before we get to the winners names, everyone should know that you automatically get $20 off any order over $200 through the holiday. Not too shabby, eh?
Our two extremely lucky winners (as selected by random.org) are… Nadia (who just starting a huge kitchen remodel) and Heidi Kruger (who’s looking to do subway tile in her kitchen and to re-tile two bathrooms) Congrats!
Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from The Tile Shop.

TILE ME! I love cool blue-grey tiles and I would love to redo my kitchen backsplash with them. It would be nice to get rid of the hideous, old, dirty beige tile on the bathroom floor, too!

I am always and forever in love with traditional subway tile. However, I do like to mix it up a teeny bit by using glass and colored subway shaped tiles. I’ve also been jonesing for some penny tiles in my kitchen, but I’m afraid they’re way too trendy for my next remodel.

Amanda Stoker says
Tile me! I love so many different styles of tile, I think it depends on the room and the mood you’re going for. I’m not overly glitzy, so I like subway tiles and other vintage, bright colored tiles.

Tile me!!
Payal Thomas says

Tile Me!!

shannon says
My backsplash and kitchen floor are screaming TILE ME!! My husband would love to have one o these tools if only I wasn’t so reluctant to spend so much money on one…how wonderful it would be to “tile me” for free. For the kitchen floor I’d do larger natural stone looking tiles and for the backsplash I’d go more modern with a slightly-colored glass. We are having a baby in March and it would be a delight to change out some of the carpet before they are crawling around covered in food.
Meghan says
T ake me out of the world where my husband and
I try to do projects with tiles and all we end up doing is
L augh (or use profanity as it may go).
E xcept, with the help of this wet we could be pros!
M aybe next time we tile we will not choose to put
E xtremely large floor tiles on our bathroom walls. 12″ floor tiles and gravity don’t mix. Live + Learn.

TILE ME!
I love glass tile at the moment, although I have a weak spot for recycled aluminum tiles, as well. We recently moved into a house built in the 70’s, so have lots of re-tiling projects ahead of us!
Soleil says
Tile Me! My master bath needs a complete gut and redo. I would love to put subway tile in the shower!
Jennifer says
Tile Me!!!!!!!! The best tiles right now are glass. I have some tiles waiting to be installed in our laundry room… all I need is the new saw!
Jose says
TILE ME!
my family doesn’t share the same opinion as i do…but i have to say i am just a sucker for Arcturus tile. i don’t know why! to me it looks classy for some reason.
natural stone is wonderful, specifically travertine type stones. Maybe a Driftwood Honed natural stone backsplash, with the dark Arcturus tile on the floor, i would love the contrast that brings to the eyes. i guess im a sucker for tiles!
V. Gonzalez says
Tile Me! I would love to put in some blue and green glass tiles in my bathroom. Reminds me of beach glass.
Katie Lake says
TILE ME!
My (new!! hurray!) fiance and I are dying to do a blueish-gray neutral backsplash in our kitchen. We also want to replace the pink (you know the standard 50s pink that was all the rage?) tile in the bathroom by either ripping it out or we’re looking at painting it white. Either way it has to change. We have ssoo many projects in the works right now. Our little house is the same standard ranchy kinda style with a wonky addition on the back.
von says
Tile me! I love the light green glass tile found in modern kitchens on hgtv.
Katie says
Tile Me!! I love carrera marble (grey) in small rectangles, subway pattern, in a kitchen. I’m also loving long, thin rectangular glass tile for a kitchen lately too.
Kristin B. says
TILE ME!
I’m planning on using quite a bit more subway tile on my next two projects. I’m a sucker for classic period tile.
