Fab Freebie: Tiles For Miles

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see our winners!***

Today’s moving day (wahoooooo!) so we thought we’d slap up this week’s giveaway this morning to tide you over until we have a moment to post some house-related updates. Oh yeah, and it just happens to be the biggest giveaway we’ve ever done. By a long shot.

So I’ll get to the point. It was almost exactly one year ago that I first used a wet saw. It was love at first site, er, cut. And today we’re sharing the love, thanks to some help from The Tile Shop. And boy is it a lot of love to share. $3000 worth of love to be exact.

Tile Shop Beauty Shots

You guys probably already know The Tile Shop as an awesome spot for tile, tiling supplies, and even free DIY support (both online and in stores). In fact, a lot of stuff for our bathroom remodel last year was purchased there (or borrowed from my dad, who had purchased it there). So if any of you need the kick in the pants to get your next tiling job started (kitchen backsplash? bathroom update?) here it is: TWO of you are going to win a $950 gift card to The Tile Shop and a deluxe wet saw valued at $550. Who’s suddenly got tile fever?

Tile Shop Gift Card

Here are all the deets when it comes to getting your chance at our biggest prize to date:

  • PRIZE: This wet saw and a $950 gift card from The Tile Shop (valued at 3K, baby).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “TILE ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … let’s gush about tile. What sorts of tile are you loving? Warm natural stone surrounding an open shower? Glam metallic subway tile on a kitchen backsplash? Or maybe a modern mosaic on a fireplace surround?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 15th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The lower 48 United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Before we get to the winners names, everyone should know that you automatically get $20 off any order over $200 through the holiday. Not too shabby, eh?

Our two extremely lucky winners (as selected by random.org) are… Nadia (who just starting a huge kitchen remodel) and Heidi Kruger (who’s looking to do subway tile in her kitchen and to re-tile two bathrooms) Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from The Tile Shop.

tile me! i’m pregnant and due in early may, and part of my ‘nesting’ phase is to have the shower tile replaced (a nasty beige tile paint slapped over baby pink tiles which weren’t sealed correctly). i’d do subway tile with a small border of 1×1 tiles which match the small 4×4 tiles they put on the floor. thanks and good luck with the move!

TILE ME! I especially love the look of subway tile and can’t wait to fix up our bath and kitchen. We bought our first home a year ago – one that was fairly new thinking we wouldn’t have much work to do. What a surprise we were in for when we started noticing all the little corners that had been cut. Funny enough the tile is where they skimped the most! In the kitchen, they didn’t go all the way to the edge of the island, leaving strange wooden gaps that look unfinished. And in the bathroom, after closer inspection, we found uneven tiles and even one that was put in upside down! The worst part is the one that’s upside down is the one staring right back at me every time I shower. It makes me insane! I can’t wait to start fixing that nonsense up someday. Good luck with your move!

TILE ME!!! My husband and I just purchased our first home. We close the first week in January. Our home could seriously use a tile makeover! For real! The problem will be deciding on what tile!! Oh the possibilities are endless! Perhaps I have a classic old fashioned flair, but I love me some penny tiles for the floor and subway tiles for the walls. I adore mosaic tiles too. Darn it! And for the kitchen I love the recycled glass. Decisions, decisions! Oh yeah, I haven’t won yet. But a girl can dream right?!

I love classic white subway tiles in bathrooms.
Subway tiles always look clean and inviting to me.
If I could redo my master-bath (and believe me, it need re-doing)I would re-tile the tub and shower area with white subway tiles and get seamless glass shower doors.
I’m also really fond of marble tile but for my little house that might be overdoing it.
    One can dream though:-)

    TILE ME!!!

We bought a new house about a year ago and are looking at revamping our builder grade kitchen, including major tile work. I can’t seem to make up my mind between 1 inch glass tile and 2 inch tumbled stone tile. We love color and the kitchen is otherwise pretty bland…but I don’t want to pick a tile that would be a turn off to a future buyer. Such decisions…

We just moved in to our first home and are saving up to renovate the smallest bathroom. We’d like to tile all of the walls with a natural stone and install a glass shower door. We also have a brick fireplace in the living room that we’d like to cover with glass subway tiles. This would be the best Christmas gift!
