Fab Freebie: Tiles For Miles

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see our winners!***

Today’s moving day (wahoooooo!) so we thought we’d slap up this week’s giveaway this morning to tide you over until we have a moment to post some house-related updates. Oh yeah, and it just happens to be the biggest giveaway we’ve ever done. By a long shot.

So I’ll get to the point. It was almost exactly one year ago that I first used a wet saw. It was love at first site, er, cut. And today we’re sharing the love, thanks to some help from The Tile Shop. And boy is it a lot of love to share. $3000 worth of love to be exact.

Tile Shop Beauty Shots

You guys probably already know The Tile Shop as an awesome spot for tile, tiling supplies, and even free DIY support (both online and in stores). In fact, a lot of stuff for our bathroom remodel last year was purchased there (or borrowed from my dad, who had purchased it there). So if any of you need the kick in the pants to get your next tiling job started (kitchen backsplash? bathroom update?) here it is: TWO of you are going to win a $950 gift card to The Tile Shop and a deluxe wet saw valued at $550. Who’s suddenly got tile fever?

Tile Shop Gift Card

Here are all the deets when it comes to getting your chance at our biggest prize to date:

  • PRIZE: This wet saw and a $950 gift card from The Tile Shop (valued at 3K, baby).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “TILE ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … let’s gush about tile. What sorts of tile are you loving? Warm natural stone surrounding an open shower? Glam metallic subway tile on a kitchen backsplash? Or maybe a modern mosaic on a fireplace surround?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 15th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The lower 48 United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Before we get to the winners names, everyone should know that you automatically get $20 off any order over $200 through the holiday. Not too shabby, eh?

Our two extremely lucky winners (as selected by random.org) are… Nadia (who just starting a huge kitchen remodel) and Heidi Kruger (who’s looking to do subway tile in her kitchen and to re-tile two bathrooms) Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from The Tile Shop.

TILE ME! Pretty please with sugar plum fairies on top?

I’m dreaming of glass matchstick tile. When we built our dream house last year the budget came to a screeching halt…right before the tile backsplash in the kitchen. This would totally let me finish the project in STYLE.

My most satisfying tile project was covering our brick fireplace surround with travertine, but I can’t wait till we have saved enough to do glass tile on our kitchen backsplash.

We’re adding a second story that includes two bathrooms (one will be our very own master suite) – we’re thinking vintage-y black & white hexagons in one & some charcoal-y blue in our master with glass tile accents…

Would love to win since we’re about to start our bathroom remodel. I’d love to go with a cute white penny tile for the floors, mimicking the old school hex tile, but a little bit fresher. Fingers crossed!!

My husband and I live in a ranch world of carpet and 70’s linoleum. His college job was as a flooring guy at Menards (Home Improvement Store), so he know about many beautiful stone tile options that we would love–but, alas, cannot afford. I love stone, though he has been crushing on beautifully-tinted glass tiles for a kitchen back splash (which is currently cream paint). I will cross my fingers tightly on this one because we’re paying for two Master’s degrees right now and could not afford it without help! Pick me!

    TILE ME!!!

last year we bought our first home in Los Angeles. it’s an adorable house built in 1938, but we’re desperate to redo our only bathroom and galley kitchen. the kitchen will get a white subway tile backsplash and slate flooring and the bathroom will get subway tile and a hexagon marble floor. things were updated in the early ’90s, and the peach and turquoise tiles just aren’t our style! this would be a tremendous help in putting a dent in our renovation budget! crossing my fingers and toes!

Oh man could I use this, my fiancé’s mother just closed on a house that we’re all moving in to and fixing up. Your website is about to become a godsend, rather than just amazingly fun to read!

Anyway, the new house kitchen is planned out in white and blue, and I think I’d love some smoky blue tile for the back splash. Not least of all because every house I’ve lived in has been plain, white linoleum.

Holy crap what a great giveaway! I usually eyeball the stainless steel tile but only because I always figured it was the only kind I’d ever be able to afford. BUT! If I had my druthers, green or cobalt glass tile (or both) for my kitchen. My new-to-me kitchen needs a lot of help, great space, soooo bland (wood floor, wood cabinets with beige laminate countertop).

I want to replace the blah, gray, 12”x12” floor tile the builder used to surround my fireplace. I am thinking a mosaic of red and gold, to tie in with our dining room wall (the living space in our house is al one room). Then, I want to add a glass door, instead of just the screen we have now. All in the name of baby-proofing, right?
