Today’s moving day (wahoooooo!) so we thought we’d slap up this week’s giveaway this morning to tide you over until we have a moment to post some house-related updates. Oh yeah, and it just happens to be the biggest giveaway we’ve ever done. By a long shot.
So I’ll get to the point. It was almost exactly one year ago that I first used a wet saw. It was love at first site, er, cut. And today we’re sharing the love, thanks to some help from The Tile Shop. And boy is it a lot of love to share. $3000 worth of love to be exact.
You guys probably already know The Tile Shop as an awesome spot for tile, tiling supplies, and even free DIY support (both online and in stores). In fact, a lot of stuff for our bathroom remodel last year was purchased there (or borrowed from my dad, who had purchased it there). So if any of you need the kick in the pants to get your next tiling job started (kitchen backsplash? bathroom update?) here it is: TWO of you are going to win a $950 gift card to The Tile Shop and a deluxe wet saw valued at $550. Who’s suddenly got tile fever?
Here are all the deets when it comes to getting your chance at our biggest prize to date:
- PRIZE: This wet saw and a $950 gift card from The Tile Shop (valued at 3K, baby).
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “TILE ME!” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: … let’s gush about tile. What sorts of tile are you loving? Warm natural stone surrounding an open shower? Glam metallic subway tile on a kitchen backsplash? Or maybe a modern mosaic on a fireplace surround?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 15th at 8pm EST
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
- PRIZE SHIPS: The lower 48 United States
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
******************************
Before we get to the winners names, everyone should know that you automatically get $20 off any order over $200 through the holiday. Not too shabby, eh?
Our two extremely lucky winners (as selected by random.org) are… Nadia (who just starting a huge kitchen remodel) and Heidi Kruger (who’s looking to do subway tile in her kitchen and to re-tile two bathrooms) Congrats!
Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from The Tile Shop.

TILE ME! This is such great timing–we had a leaking shower that we had to take the tile out of, and it’s just been sitting waiting for us to have the money to buy and install new tile! We want to go with nice, warm colored tile for the shower :-)

Valerie says
TILE ME! I love the natural, earth tone designs and colors! ohhh, pick me, pick me puh-leez (that’s please in a severe begging voice:))!
Dani says
Tile me! We really need a kitchen backsplash. Something nice and neutral so it doesn’t compete with the previous owner’s *lovely* green and red check floor tile that has to stay for now.
Jason says
Tile Me!
I’m a fan of natural tile with warm earthy tones. By contrast, recycled glass tile certainly has its places.
Nina says
Tile me! We’re getting ready for a bathroom overhaul and I can’t decide between stone or glass tile.
Heather says
TILE ME!! Glass tile!!

Lindsay says
TILE ME! I love simple, plain white tile in my bathroom!

TILE ME!!! My backsplash is the last part of my kitchen remodel to finish. It’s nasty black (potentially asbestos laden) old adhesive right now. I know it’s randomly chosen, but I thought maybe my sob story could help ;)
Lisa B says
Tile me! I would love a subway tile backsplash in my kitchen. I also need to do some tile work in the bathroom. I would love to win this:)
Stephanie says
TILE ME!!! I would love natural earth tone tile for my kitchen with a cool back splash to go with it!

It will take some convincing to get the Mister renovating anything tile related, but I’m sure a handy-dandy saw and free tile would help!
Ashley says
Tile Me!
We just moved into our first (old) house so I would love to replace the tiles in the bathrooms. I am thinking warm, natural tile in one bathroom, and some fun subway tiles in the other!
SarahElizabeth says
TILE ME! I will always love subway tiles with a beveled edge, especially when done in a herringbone pattern. Classic and timeless – can’t beat it!
Mishka says

I’ve re-tiled one bathroom… One to go!
Kerri says

Beth says
Tile Me!!
I enjoy large tiles for easy floor cleaning!! Thanks for doing a giveaway!

TILE ME please! My husband and I are about to embark on a massive kitchen renovation that involves creating a tiled shower – this would be such an incredible help to us!
Sarah says
Tile me! I’m really anxious to start remodeling our 70s-era kitchen, and I would love to purchase some mosaic backsplash tile.
Katie@J&K Homestead says
TILE ME!!! We are just getting ready (in January) to do some major tile demo and redo in our entry way and powder room. I’m loving the tile planks that look like dark hard wood floors, but are actually tiles. Perfect for us!
Elizabeth says
TILE ME!
Seriously, the tile in my house is the most dated, awful 1970s stuff. Yellow square tiles with icky grout. I dream of redoing the master bathroom shower, or the hall bathroom (which has ORANGE tile floors.) Just something nice and neutral!
Beth says
TILE ME!!
We just redid our bathroom counters in a (I think) lovely travertine.
Jay says
TILE ME!!!! We need a new kitchen, but a backsplash would be nice. I’m thinking glass subway tile.
Kate says
TILE ME! I have the vintage 1970’s peachish-pinkish tile all over my bathroom. I’d love to upgrade to something in the grey-blue family and give that bathroom some edge!
Beth says
TILE ME! I love carrara marble. I hope to tile my shower in it someday soon.
Rodney says
“TILE ME!”
Stephanie says
TILE ME!
I would love to tile my master bathroom if I could. I did a small DIY in the bathroom last month but the tiles were not in my budget at this time. I would love to put in some nice dark gray glass like spa tiles in the shower area and nice clean looking while tiles on the floor (the current ones are cracked in a lot of areas).
Deri says
TILE ME!!! PLEASE!! :)
We desperately want to rip out the awful backsplash in our kitchen and do either natural stone (what the hubs wants) or maye some beautiful neutral glass tile (what I’m leaning towards). Winning this giveaway would be the best Christmas gift!!

I love the white subway tile in our bathroom, but boy, does it need to be redone!
Megan says
TILE ME!
I currently have what appears to be yellow/pink tie-dye tile around my old fireplace. Just painted the mantle white…next step is picking out pretty tile (probably glass) that is unique but ok for resale!
Katie says
TILE ME! I love how tile can give texture and light to almost anything from floors to fireplaces!
