Fab Freebie: The Cutting Edge

*** This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

We’ve got two names to announce as the random winners this week and they are… Eileen Marie (who lives on the edge by teaching on the “mean streets of Chicago”) and Kristin M (who is the mom to a “crazy 2 year old” – which is a life on the edge that we can relate to). Congrats ladies! And for everyone else, Cutting Edge Stencils added a 20% discount code – YHL20 –  that’s good through Sunday. Sweet!

Who wants to jump on the wall stencil bandwagon with us (remember when Sherry spent 14 hours stenciling our office last October? Well how does a $50 nudge sound? Because the folks at Cutting Edge Stencils are gonna give two of you a gift card that’ll cover just about any stencil in their catalog – from florals and geometrics to damasks and graphic shapes. They’ve even got a new collection of stencils created by Design Star winner Kim Myles (we especially love her gingko leaf design on the right). And is the one on the top left giving anyone else Jeff Lewis vibes?

Cutting Edge Stencil Giveaway

  • PRIZE: $50 to Cutting Edge Stencils
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “EDGE ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … how you live life on the edge. I ask this somewhat sarcastically since life on the edge for us usually includes eating a second dessert or negotiating a good yard sale deal. But if you’ve really done (or regularly do) something thrilling or outrageous, we’d love to hear about it.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, June 6th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • DISCOUNT: 20% off with code YHL20 through 6/17
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Cutting Edge Stencils.

I’ve been pretty edgy with paint colors lately. I may or may not consider yellow edgy! :) I’m wild!

I’m pretty tame but the last few months my husband and I have had date night once a week. Leaving the kids for a night on the town so often feels like living life on the edge! Haha.

    EDGE ME!

I took a rather spur of the moment trip this weekend! Anyone who is willing to make a 7 hour car trip with a 2 & 3 year old (with a days notice)is living on the edge in my opinion ;)

Edge Me! I think I used to take way more risks- like moving to Africa, but now, I am sort of boring… perhaps I burned out early by being so crazy when I was younger?

I pretty safe when is comes to day to day things. However.. I love to drive and drive fast. Used to have a sports car but my hubby convinced me to sell it since he was scared that I was gonna kill myself. Since becoming a mom, I am way more careful. Recently my hubby got a new car (its quick) and when I have no children in tow….lets just say I have a good time. =)

    eDgE mE!!!

I really don’t think you can classify this as living on the edge, but when I start gazing at the home decor pictures on Pinterest long enough(it may be an addiction)I will suddenly want to re-do something in our house. I will do whatever takes to finish a project that I’ve been eyeing. I won’t stop until I’m finished, but at least I get around to the things I’ve been wanting to do to our house.

So, the most “wild” thing I have done is getting tattoos, which everyone who sees me is shocked about because I’ve been told I seem…well…quiet and reserved and not the type, I guess. But, I gotta admit I love them and it is definitely addictive!

    “EDGE ME!”

On Memorial Day weekend I splurged and purchased a Carving Trike. It’s like a standing tricycle. It’s supposed to be good exercise for your entire body. Since I’m 52 and out of shape, it’s been a challenge for me to learn. But I’m still trying. lol
