Fab Freebie: Book Worms Rejoice

***This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

So many book-hungry people out there! This giveaway hit its 10,000 cap within 24 hours, so we’re already back with a winner. The lucky worm is… Melissa (who keeps her favorite books in a bedside cabinet, a living room end table, and on a special display shelf in the family room. She believes “all good book nerds have them in all parts of the house!”). Congrats Melissa!

Our book release is officially here! Woo hoo! And we’re celebrating by giving away books this week. But not just our book. Lots o’ books. In fact, some of them will even come signed by some pretty awesome people. Woot! We’ve been gobbling up so many design, decor, and home books lately that we thought it’d be fun to share some of our recent faves from our library. So in addition to a signed copy of our new book, you’ll also be getting copies of the following (marked with an asterisk when signed!):

  • The Things That Matter by Nate Berkus
  • The Handbuilt Home by Ana White*
  • Design*Sponge at Home by Grace Bonney
  • Home by Novogratz by Robert & Cortney Novogratz*
  • Style Me Pretty Weddings by Abby Larson* (which releases next month)
  • Happier at Home by Gretchen Rubin*

BookGiveawaySMP

  • PRIZE: Copies of all of the books shown above, including signatures from us, Gretchen Rubin, Abby Larson, the Novogratzes, and Ana White!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “BOOK ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what special place in your home do you keep your favorite books? Do they get a prime spot on your coffee table? Or do you have a large collection of faves that fill a bookcase somewhere? Maybe your top pick at the moment just lives cozily on your night table?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Nov 7th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible – more on that here)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info.

Book me! Most of my books come from the library, so any of the special ones are either on my side tables or next to my bed!

    BOOK ME!

We have books in every room in our house, but the most special ones are right next to our bed. We have a tiny home, and we needed more book storage, but didn’t have room in the common areas for another bookshelf. So we ditched our bedside tables and now we have a pair of tall, dark, and handsome bookshelves flanking our bed! Our current reads, favorite books, and the really special volumes (such as the poetry books from my grandmother’s house) all reside on these shelves.

    BOOK ME!

We have books all over, but my most beloved are all in one square shelf in the living room. If someone comes over and spots one of the books there, saying something like “I loved this!” then we’re instant friends :)

“BOOK ME”. Yay! Always seem to get to your giveaways too late!

My favorite books are up high on an ikea shelf…they are a group of
signed children’s books that I have been collecting for years. My kids call them “mommy’s special books”. It’s most fun when I find one in a pile at the thrift store. Don’t know why anyone would give up a signed book. Would LOVE to have a signed copy of yours! Thanks guys and congrats!

    Book me!

I keep my favorite books on a too-small shelf in our tiny guest bedroom upstairs, which currently serves as my “lady cave” with all my craft supplies and art things. I visit my books to lovingly page through them all once in a while, when the de-clutter bug bites, and every time they all go back on the shelf.

My books go on a bookshelf in my living room — they are the first thing you see when you walk in the door. I also have a healthy stack on my night stand so I can do a little non-digital reading before bed.

My favorites usually occupy my tote bag that I take with me everywhere. That way I have easy access to it whenever I’ve got an opportunity to read. Once I’m done reading they go on a bookcase, to wait their next turn in my tote bag. I’m one of those types that goes back to their favorites over and over again.
