So many book-hungry people out there! This giveaway hit its 10,000 cap within 24 hours, so we’re already back with a winner. The lucky worm is… Melissa (who keeps her favorite books in a bedside cabinet, a living room end table, and on a special display shelf in the family room. Our book release is officially here! Woo hoo! And we’re celebrating by giving away books this week. But not just our book. Lots o’ books. In fact, some of them will even come signed by some pretty awesome people. Woot! We’ve been gobbling up so many design, decor, and home books lately that we thought it’d be fun to share some of our recent faves from our library. My favorite books used to live on the coffee table before I had a little one who’s favorite activities include pulling books/magazines off of the coffee table and/or ripping pages from them, so now they live on our kitchen table. It’s close by the couch and out of his reach (for now).

I am getting quite a collection of bookshelves going at my house… I try to add candles or bookends or a ceramic animal along the front of each row of books. I’m not great at the styling yet, but I want the books to be in the main room, not hidden in a storage space, so I’m doing my best to make them the center of attention!

We just purchased our first home, and I set up our books last night! We have a corner leaning bookcase, but I like to decorate with books all around the house, putting a few in each room. Under lamps, on coffee tables..
I selected my and my husband’s favorite all time books and have those on our coffee table, and conversation starters in the den.

I use my decor books as decor themselves. In our old house, they were stacked like a statue on our sofa table bringing color to the room. In our current apartment, they are stacked inside of a glass bookcase so I can see them.

I don’t have a place to keep my favoites. A god book is meant to be shared. I read it then share it and ask the person I gave it too to pass it on.
It may take me a little longer to pass on a how to book. I first reference it to learn then once I got a handle of it, then I pass it on.
