Fab Freebie: Book Worms Rejoice

***This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

So many book-hungry people out there! This giveaway hit its 10,000 cap within 24 hours, so we’re already back with a winner. The lucky worm is… Melissa (who keeps her favorite books in a bedside cabinet, a living room end table, and on a special display shelf in the family room. She believes “all good book nerds have them in all parts of the house!”). Congrats Melissa!

Our book release is officially here! Woo hoo! And we’re celebrating by giving away books this week. But not just our book. Lots o’ books. In fact, some of them will even come signed by some pretty awesome people. Woot! We’ve been gobbling up so many design, decor, and home books lately that we thought it’d be fun to share some of our recent faves from our library. So in addition to a signed copy of our new book, you’ll also be getting copies of the following (marked with an asterisk when signed!):

  • The Things That Matter by Nate Berkus
  • The Handbuilt Home by Ana White*
  • Design*Sponge at Home by Grace Bonney
  • Home by Novogratz by Robert & Cortney Novogratz*
  • Style Me Pretty Weddings by Abby Larson* (which releases next month)
  • Happier at Home by Gretchen Rubin*

BookGiveawaySMP

  • PRIZE: Copies of all of the books shown above, including signatures from us, Gretchen Rubin, Abby Larson, the Novogratzes, and Ana White!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “BOOK ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what special place in your home do you keep your favorite books? Do they get a prime spot on your coffee table? Or do you have a large collection of faves that fill a bookcase somewhere? Maybe your top pick at the moment just lives cozily on your night table?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Nov 7th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible – more on that here)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info.

I love books, so there are a ton of places around the house that I stash them. My favorite is the bookshelf full of old hardbound books that I inherited from my grandparents – some from the 1800s!

Book me! My books live on a bookshelf of course (unless I’m obsessively thumbing through them…) Yours arrived at my house last week in the midst of the hurricane and I have been huddled by the candle looking at it every night. It was a great way to get my YHL fix since we’re without power so I couldn’t read the blog everyday. Congrats! Love the book!

    Book Me!

My books tend to end up on my nightstand. I would love for them to be out in my living room for all to enjoy, but my lovely 6-year old daughter might decide to add a little color to them so on the nightstand they sit. Someday, a beautiful bookcase, built by my husband, will be in the family room and all my books will be out and available.

Book me- I adore books and decorating books the most! Unfortunately books run me, not the other way around. I am pretty sure they jump down from the shelves and scatter themselves about while I am not looking. Unfortunately my husband loves books also so we have a hard time keeping them anywhere! BUT, we have a spare bedroom we have lined with Ikea Billie bookcases with glass doors and they mostly live there!

    BOOK ME!

I like to keep my books on a bookshelf in my bedroom. I can’t tell you how many nights I walk up to that bookshelf, pull out a book, and end up staying up way too late reading. I actually already have yours and Ana White’s books, but I’m sure that I could learn a thing or two from the others as well!

BOOK ME! I happily admit that I am addicted to reading… Books would easily take over the house if my husband didn’t organize monthly death marches, err, housekeeping sessions. As far as I’m concerned – a favorite place for books is anywhere! But my most favorite place for a book is in my hands while I’m reading it.
