Fab Freebie: A Splash Of Color

*** This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…

Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway

And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway Faucets

  • PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

    ADLER ME!
When we moved into our house, our kitchen was white, white, white. We removed the cabinet handles (which had been painted…you guessed it, white!) and spray painted them black. That was a HUGE (and inexpensive) easy improvement, but what really made the kitchen look completely different was painting the walls a soft but bright yellow. We absolutely love it, and it makes the kitchen one of our favorite places to be. Next on the agenda is making a cafe curtain for our window above the kitchen sink. I found a sheet set at Ross with an awesome pale green print for only $9.00 which will make the curtain and hopefully a few other projects as well (fabric covered lampshade…we’ll see!)

Adler me! We painted our kitchen a soft blue and added a blue/beige/brown mosaic tile blacksplash. I think we actually have too much blue now because of a predominantly blue painting and some blue seat cushions, and want to add some beige curtains to break it up a bit.

Our kitchen is pretty bland right now (we just moved in 2 months ago) but my goal is to add some really colorful art, and perhaps a collection of globes above the cabinets. So a colorful new sink wouldn’t hurt a bit. :)

We are gearing up for a full kitchen renovation in the next couple months and I can’t even express how happy a bright sink would make me, us, our home. We love to inject bright colors with neutral backdrops–especially in the form of art, but would welcome it in the form of a sink with open arms. *Fingers crossed!*

Adler me! We have a red, aqua, and mint green theme going on right now in our kitchen inspired by the pistachio green Kitchen Aid mixer my husband got me as a Christmas gift a few years ago. It’s a little crazy, but if you can’t have some crazy color in a kitchen, where can you have it??

My kitchen is such a disaster, it’s hard to remember to give it some color. Right now there is a bright red stand mixer and some fun turquoise-yellow-red towels.

I definitely could use this sink!

ADLER ME! out of our ugly 90’s ‘by the sea’ kitchen!

We recently painted the walls ORANGE! We hope to rip out the lighthouse title backsplash (We are hiding it a Yuengling beer sign!) and change out the seafoam green countertops (totally clashes with the orange but we were desperately in need of color; changing the paint was quicker than replacing the counter top!)

ADLER ME! (I would die!!!!!!!) Our kitchen has very little natural light, so the walls are painted a light cappucino color, with white cabinets. Brights are brought in with accessories – a tangerine and hot pink valance, a throw rug with those colors plus lime green and turqoise.
