After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…
Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.
And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…
- PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
- BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.
ADLER ME!
I love bringing splashes of color into my kitchen by adding artwork. I always protect it from kitchen accidents by framing it in something wipeable.
Adler Me! All white kitchen that can change color when different accessories are added.
ADLER ME! Right now we have purple walls, but they’re on the way out. We’re getting ready to add more life by changing our cabinets from white to a bright color – thinking turquoise. In fact – I just bought our cabinet paint this morning (it’s still untinted while I decide).
ADLER ME!
Right now we have bright blue’ish walls with cream(they are horrific laminate ones).
I keep some fresh flowers on my window sill for additional color.
ADLER ME!
We’re moving into a new house tomorrow. The kitchen is currently completely neutral. Can’t wait to bring a bunch of color into it — leaning toward turquoise accents at the moment.
ADLER ME!
We haven’t done much to our kitchen since we moved into our house – we have light cream laminate counter tops, stainless steel appliances and oak cabinets. We dream of someday being able to install new counters and paint our cabinets white. With this in mind, I try to incorporate colors that lead in from the dining room. Cobalt blue, turquoise and punches of green come through with a fake plant on a ledge of one side of the kitchen and a DIY terrarium in our “drive through window” (a view-through window from above our kitchen sink into our living room). It’s definitely a difficult task but it keeps the room lively!
hey girl hey.
Alder me! This would totally go with my lime green kitchen aid mixer!
ADLER ME!
I have clear glass pitchers filled with lemons, and always a bowl of fruit. Plus a cool Dash and Albert rug!
Thanks for all of the fun reading your blog provides!
ADLER ME
I currently have the original tiles and mustard yellow sink in my original 1964 kitchen. Until I can fully update – I place small bud vases filled with colorful flowers on the window sill. A nice focus for my otherwise desperate kitchen.
ADLER ME!!! We are in process of selling our house so it is a pale color and white. In our new house it will be white and aqua with splashes of tangerine!!
ADLER ME! We decorate with food!! Oxo see through storage containers!
Adler Me!
We painted our kitchen a great bold green color. We have wood cabinets and brown countertops so we wanted to go with a great bold color on the walls! We also have color in our dishes and towles in there as well. I would love a deep single sink in our kitchen!
ADLER ME!
The only color I currently have in my kitchen is dish towels.
ALDER ME!
We currently rent and our kitchen cabinets (& the door & fireplace in the room) are all painted a crazy burnt orange. With bright yellow walls. Let’s just say we are not hurting for color in our kitchen…
Adler Me! My kitchen needs a little color
Adler Me! We have a tomato red kitchenaid mixer and other red accents.

ADLER ME!
I’m am soo stuck on this right now! It’s exactly my decorating dilemna! I love color but get so intimidated by how to incorporate it without overdoing it. I did use more color in our wall paint and the rest in accesories as we decorate our new house. Baby steps I guess!
Adler me! Splash of color on the backsplash and curtains!
ADLER ME!
planning on sprucing up the kitchen with pops of yellow. curtains, rug, accessories.
Adler me! I am using red and turquoise accents…would love to add more!
ADLER ME!
Seriously. I love that man.
We are in the middle of figuring out how to overhaul our kitchen. It’s currently basic-builder-grade golden oak cabinets and laminate countertops. I’d love to make it more neutral/white and then pop in something like the palermo blue sink. Beautiful!
ADLER ME!
With an all white kitchen, its the dish towels that add color to our kitchen! I love switching them out every season based on what’s new and fun!
ADLER ME! We based our kitchen around our Blue Willow dishes, bringing lots of blues in around tan and white neutrals. We used towels, floor mats, tablecloths, and even our stand mixer to bring that beautiful blue into our kitchen.
ADLER ME!
My kitchen has pops of bright-vases over cabinets + the rug… makes things fun!
ADLER ME! This is an amazing prize!
I use pops of red in my kitchen in the crock pot, blender, trivets, fruit bowl, etc. Even my favorite Scentsy scent is red, and the warmer stays in there! :p
ADLER ME! Right now our kitchen is stuck in 1970’s harvest gold, my husband adamantly denies that it is yellow ;)Hopefully soon we will be able to update, I love blues and greens in a kitchen!
ADLER ME! I love fresh fruits in the kitchen for color!
Adler MEEEEE!
We’re embarking on a kitchen remodel this week and I despirately need a Palermo Blue sink. Would match the glass tile backsplash perfectly!
Adler me! My kitchen is painted a light neutral green, but I bring color in with bright Fiestaware on open shelving and some other fun accessories (like a bright red bread box from Target a couple years back). These sinks are amazing!
ADLER ME!!!!!!
our color is from the yellow walls, vintage pyrex, and fun towels (our favorite is white with teal writing that says “I’m so self absorbed!”) hahaha
ADLER ME! I painted my kitchen a lovely turquoise and have a rainbow assortment of vintage dishes and an awesome blue/green/teal abstract painting over the table.
ADLER ME! My kitchen does indeed have bold walls, tempered with white subway tile. But I had to stint on the sink, so I installed a stainless steel number that I don’t hate, but will never love.
ADLER ME!
Adler me!!!!
We’re planning our 1/2 kitchen remodel right now (out goes the black tile counter tops & white sink / keeping the wood cabinets – in comes… ANYTHING BUT BLACK!!!) Love color & can’t wait to incorporate it…
Adler Me! I sprayed painted my napkin holder yellow, and it is so cheery sitting on my kitchen table.
Adler Me!
Does splashed tomato sauce and dropped guacamole count as color?
ADLER ME! I am bringing in color with a bright red flowering plant that I keep letting get too near to death and then somehow bringing back!
ADLER ME! The only color in my kitchen lately has been food. I’d love some bright pops!
ADLER ME!
Bolder accessories like lemons and limes on a bowl and a bright colored dish liquid and soap add some splash in the kitchen.
Alder Me!
I have a few Fiestaware pieces on my open shelving in a bright turquoise.
ADLER ME……please!!
My kitchen is a pretty yellow but I make it more colorful by adding pops of colors!! On tops of my cabinents, I have blue and purple spray painted wine bottles, a very beautiful and colorful anthro spoon holder, a great hand towel on my oven with flowers from Ikea, a purple kitchen mat, and probably a few more pops here or there. It’s not overkill but makes me happy to see it!
If I were to win the sink I wouldn’t even know where to begin but let me tell you that thing would see lots of love in my kitchen…there is no diswasher in my house!
Have a good day guys!
ALDER ME!!!!
Unfortunately, the kitchen in my house came with TOO MUCH color, as in sage green everything with a brown sink. I’m getting ready to renovate everything to a nice, simple white & grey color scheme so I can add color the right way. I’ve totally been eying Jonathan Adler’s beautiful yellow sink. It would be the perfect pop of color for my new neutral kitchen!
ADLER ME!
Working on a very tight budget trying to bring some color into my kitchen- right now we’ve got greens and yellows. But I’m loving the pops of teal we’ve got in there with fresh hydrangea right now.
ADLER ME!
My husband and I are in the process of buying a house! The kitchen of our future home is fairly neutral, so I’d love to add some blue and red.
Adler Me! Our kitchen walls are blue!
ADLER ME! We just moved into our first house which still has most of it’s original brown fixtures in the kitchen. So far, most of our color is limited to fresh fruit and a rug. I’d love to have one of these sinks to mix things up!
ADLER ME! I have a ridiculous lack of color in my kitchen, so the most colorful thing in there would have to be my cooking…or my language :)
ADLER ME!!
We just bought new backsplash tiles for our kitchen. That is where we’re drawing our color inspiration for the whole area.
ADLER ME!
Love the teal!
