Fab Freebie: Home For Z Holidays

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

Just as Holly guessed during last week’s winner post, our latest giveaway is indeed from our friends at Z Gallerie. They’re back after their much loved freebie last May to put a little sparkle in your holiday season. While the big Zee-G has tons of glittery items for your house, your tree and even your dining table, we somehow managed to comb through all the eye candy and pick out a collection of our absolute favorite holiday items. So here’s what this week’s winner will be snagging:

The Z Gallerie holiday prize pack includes: two ribbed Antique Mercury Votive Cups, a silver Antique Mercury Hurricane and a set of four Puccini Hiball glasses. We love them because not only do they provide a touch of holiday glam to a dining or console table, you can even get away with breaking them out during the other 11 months of the year. And if they look familiar it’s because Z Gallerie kindly sent a set our way (and we whipped them out for this Thanksgiving decor post a few weeks back).

So how do you get your hands on this sparkly set of holiday cheer? Here’s the 4-1-1:

Z Me!! I’d love to enterain and can’t wait until I can, but my whole house is under construction-my counter is a piece of laminate ontop of 2 by 4s!

Z me! We aren’t hosting Christmas at our house but we will be having some people over during the season. I like to make my house inviting and have everything easy to find, so a guest doesn’t feel like they have to ask me for everything! And I to offer a variety of things to eat so that there is something for everyone!

Z me! We have no plans to entertain this year but do plan on going to a few parties. As a guest I always like to ask the host if there is anything that I can help them with and am sure to tell them how great everything is (food decor etc) and at the end of the night thank them for hosting.

Z ME!!

We have 4 young children, so I’ve noticed we don’t get invited to parties much these days–probably because most of our friends are in the same boat! But i’m determined to break out of my usual CHAOS (Can’t Have Anyone Over Syndrome) and I’m actually thowing a baby shower on Dec. 12th for about 10 ladies at my home. Since we will be in full Christmas swing, I plan to make it holiday-ish, because it’s a casual party.

Z ME!

I have a party planned for our friends and family– we do it every year!

Z ME!!!! We just hosted a christmas tree cutting brunch this past weekend. There are several tree farms near our house so my husband and I invited some friends over for brunch then headed to the tree farm.

Z me!!

Z me!!! We like to entertain in the summer because of our big yard and don’t have people over as much in the winter bc our 1100 sq ft ranch is kinda small for more than 6 people.

Z ME! I won’t be entertaining at my home, but a good host to me is one who is not being too”hosty” if that makes sense. If I came over, I just wanted to have fun and enjoy your company and not have to be extra careful with your good china and silk cloths.

Z ME!

I think it’s important to be both — a good hostess and a good guest and that the two go hand in hand. To be one, you need to be the other.

Thanks for always providing great inspiration!

Z ME!
I probably won’t be entertaining much this year…I plan to go to my parents’ or sister’s house for Christmas. I try to help with any preparations that I can (my family is good about sharing the cooking responsibilities so no one feels overwhelmed).

Z ME!

I truly enjoy having people over my house for the holidays. Last year, we only lived in an apartment, but I still did Christmas Eve (desserts) with his family, and Christmas dinner with my family. Now that we have a lot more space in our new house, I’m looking forward to having everyone over again this year. But, I definitely need more decorations!

The best tip I have is just to enjoy family company – it’s a blessing we often forget in the heat of entertaining.

Z ME!

I plan to do a little bit of entertaining (hosting my 2nd annual New Years Party) and some visiting (going to the in-laws for XMAS)…

I do love to entertain though, just hosted my first Thanksgiving this year… with turkey & everything. WOOT!

Z Me! We are going big this christmas with lots of parties at our house and family dinners too – we need some more decor!

Z ME! For the first time in our eight years together my newlywed husband and I have an apartment that’s great for entertaining. We’re throwing a holiday party later this month, and attending a few as well. I love both hosting and guesting! My tip for being a great hostess is to just relax and enjoy the company. I hate going to a party and feeling my presence and the presence of all of the guests is a source of stress for the host/hostess. This is a time to appreciate and enjoy the time you have with the ones you love!

Z ME! I go to my aunt’s house for Christmas this year. One tip people often forget. Bring something nice for the host or hostess… after all, they work hard to prepare and host, and clean up, so even something small is nice… a bottle of wine? some seasonal flowers from the farmer’s market?

ZME! We go to both sets of parents’ houses to celebrate the holidays. My best advice is to always say “please and thank you” and enjoy every minute!

Z Me! We’re having the family over for Christmas… super exciting. The only downside, we’ve been married less than a year and we don’t have all the holiday entertaining fixings. How awesome would it be to have this new fancy entertaining swag!? As far as entertaining advice: if you have guests that are spending the night, make sure you have some snacks, water, books, and toiletries in the guest room to make them feel at home. Flowers are a nice touch!

Z ME!!!!

I love the look of mercury glass! Since we just moved into our new house, we’ll be entertaining and being entertained!

Z ME! I am excited about hosting some wonderful holiday parties at my new house.

Z ME!

This year my Mom is coming to visit over the Christmas and New Years. One of the things I do to be a better hostess is to anticipate the needs of the guest that might differ from your own. For example, we don’t drink coffee but my Mom is a huge fan of the stuff. We always make sure to keep good coffee, a coffee maker and creamer on hand for her arrival.

LOVE LOVE LOVE! Z ME PLEASE! My hubby and I are in the process of kitchen and spare bedroom. It’s our first Christmas in our snazzy humble abode. We are so siked about the Holidays and everyone coming over! We’d love to jazz things up a bit! We love to be the Hostesses with the Mostesses! :)

Z ME!!

We’re hosting a holiday dinner for our friends and their significant others a week before the holidays, but Xmas Day will be spent with our family in our PJ’s and ripping open presents! (Even at 30, there’s nothing like it!)

Z ME! These look AWESOME! I love Z Gallerie!

Z Me!

We are hosting an ugly christmas sweater party! It will be our first holiday party in our new home- and we are so excited for it to be our first Christmas in the house, as well! :)

Please Z ME! I could use some holiday cheer for my apartment, and these would be a perfect touch! I would love to entertain at home, but my family usually gathers in a different state, so I bring my decorations (and cookies, and my cat of course) with me!

Z ME!!!

Being the youngin’ that I am, I still go home celebrat Christmas with my family. This year, we are actually heading down to Florida to visit my grandparents. A beach on Christmas? Yes please!!!

Z ME!

Z ME! Not entertaining this year; just looking forward to being entertained!

Z ME!
I actually just got married in November and two of our gifts included a fire pit and grill SOOOO we definitely plan on entertaining so we get to use our new toys!

Z ME!

Oh my, we just had a baby a little over a month ago so we are visiting OTHER people. we hosted twice last year and its exhausting!! (i secretly loooove it though!)

Z ME!

I’m looking forward to being entertained in my sister’s brand new house!

Z ME!

This year it’s my sister’s turn to host the holiday celebration. As for advice for both guests and hosts: be flexible, patient, and “go with the flow”, so to speak.

Z ME! Please! We are excited to host a good ol’ white elephant gift exchange this year!

Z Me!

We hosted people over Thanksgiving, so we’ll be attending parties elsewhere for Christmas. But we always travel with a good bottle of wine!

Z ME!

I love having people over for the holidays, but also celebrating elsewhere. It’s fun to play hostess, but not fun to clean!

Oh Dahhhhhhhhhlings……..pleeze Z me! We are hosting Christmas for my family of 10 plus 2 boysfriendz, 1 teacup terrier (Gucci) and 1 rescued black lab/chow mix affectionately known as June Bug or BooBoo. I have 7 paint samples on my ‘den to be converted to dining room for Christmas’ and all my accessories are bling, bling…white dinnerware trimmed in silver, silver chargers, silver disco balls in glassware, and oh those elusive white feather trees would be a nice touch but can’t find them! Mercury glass would put a lovely touch on z table! Walls to be painted next Saturday; down to 3 faves: BM Mt. Rainier Gray, Pale Smoke or Smoke. It will be a soft, sexy blue with gray and/or green undertones. A good hostess makes room in the coat closet, puts clean sheets on the bed (just in case), plays soft music in the background to calm nerves (mine!) and has everything out in plain view so no one is rumaging through drawers to find corkscrews. A good guest never gossips about missing family and friends and never advertises they are ‘dieting’ and can’t eat this or that. (Grrrrrrr)
Z You Later!

Z Me!
Christmas will be a multiple extravaaganza this year. All 3 meals at 3 different houses. My fiance and I always bring lots of potluck goodies to share and a little wine never hurts too. Hey, it’s the holidays!:^)

Z ME!

Luckily as a college student, I don’t do much hosting on my own! But I always help my parents clean and cook for company!

Z me!

Spending the holidays at home…making memories in our new house!

Z me!!

I’ll be going to my parents’ house and the in-laws’ house for the holidays. And maybe a holiday party or two at a friends. I was recently at a party at a friend’s where her fiance (the other host) didn’t even greet us when he saw us. A definite don’t for hosting, I would say!

z me!!!

Z ME!!! holiday brunch with family friends then spending the holiday with the wife and inlaws

Z-me!
I don’t entertain all that often but feel it’s just as important to keep my new house styling for me and my boyfriend to enjoy. Not to mention, there’s always an occasional person/family etc that might stop over unannounced.
