Cha-cha-cha-cha-changes.
Some of you already noticed that after Friday’s new house news we made a little tagline switcheroo in our blog header. Since it no longer seemed accurate to describe our site as “two young people falling in love with their first house” (and “two young people making the emotional decision to leave their first house so that they can take on new projects and have more room to grow” seemed a bit long-winded) we opted for this new one:
It’s no “Got Milk?” but we like that it now incorporates Clara & Burger instead of sounding like it’s the John & Sherry show (let’s be honest, our kids are the real stars of this production). And you know I love a good math reference worked in there whenever possible. We just hope it sort of explains what the heck “Young House Love” means in the first place. Because admittedly it’s not the most self-explanatory website name in the world.
I like it and totally agree it better suits what your life is now…amazing and full of more than just a first house.
A perfect new tagline for the “next step you’re taking. Susan
So exciting! You’ll have to change the banner photo in the future as well. This one has your old roof anyway :)
looking good! can’t wait to learn more about the new crib!
The new tagline is perfect! And while “Got Milk” was a good one, Got anything else is just annoying. It’s been beat to death for 10 too many years!
The new tagline is great! And I love that it’s an equation. :)
I love it!
I do have a request though…
Can you please leave a link that shows all of your current house tour photos? I know you’ll be doing some awesome remodeling in your new casa, but I do love the current pics and show them to people all of the time. : )
Hey Ashley,
Of course! We’ll keep the tab at the top of the blog with all of our before and after pics (but we’ll probably title it “first house” and add one that says “current house” with before and in-progress pics once we move). Can’t wait!
xo,

Love the new tag line. Can’t wait to see what you do next!
Love it!
looks great! And I think Young House Love is completely self explanatory! You guys rock!
I was wondering when you were gonna change that! Congratulations on the new house! You guys ROCK!
Hey guys,
Love the new line…so perfect & cute.
I may be a little slow (I have preggo-brain!) but, it appears as though the new house does in fact HAVE a carport? Did I read wrong or am I seeing things wrong?
Hey Heather J,
Yep, the new house does have a carport but the seller’s have given us a credit towards converting it into a garage, so we were quick to let go of our no carport rule. Congrats on your baby!
