Please Stand By

We’ve got some serious moving in progress going on. We’re not sure when we’ll be able to check in again (heck, we’re not even sure what time we’re closing this afternoon- assuming it doesn’t get bumped to Tuesday) but we’ll stop in with more pics and info as soon as we can.

Moving Stand By Pic

Until then cross your fingers that my ceramic animal menagerie makes it to the new house in one piece and that we actually get to move in this afternoon as planned. We do plan to post some empty house pics of our first home (we figure you guys need closure just as much as we do) and of course share pics and even a quick video tour of the new house all empty and Petersik-ready when we finally get a moment and have internet access again.

Let the adventure/chaos/tears/joy/excitement/insanity begin!

Psst- Check out Clara’s weekly picture (also snapped on the packing box background) here.

When I was 5 or 6, we moved out of the house where I had grown up. On our first night at the new house, I remember I had to sleep in a room full of book piles. On a small couch. I don’t know why I had to sleep there but at one point I got scared of the book piles! Sleeping in a new house is always weird!

Can’t wait to see the pics on your next post :)

We moved last week, and cleaning, and painting have commenced, but we at least we finished our bedroom so we have a refuge to go to for baths, clothes, and sleeping…..lol

    “TILE ME!”

I am loving the multi colored little tiles for a back splash! I also love it as an accent wall in a bathroom.

TILE ME! (oh please, please tile me!)

I work for a general contractor and most of the work we do is high-end in Washington DC, so I get exposed to a lot of things. We’ve recently put in backsplashes for two customer that are a mixture of metal and glass tile in sheets. However, the individual tiles are probably only 1/2″x randon lengths. I’m totally digging this tile right now (modern, trendy, very chic looking). And(!!) I’ve been after the hubs to let me re-do the backsplash in my own kitchen, so this would be the perfect cou de gras so I can get this done!

Tile Me!! Or should I say, my parents! A few years ago, my mom got the kitchen of her dreams–but she’s been waiting for my dad to DIY the backsplash for a while now. What a fun Christmas gift this would be!…and a good kick in the pants to our favorite handyman. I enjoy your blog so much! Y’all are so fun!
