Please Stand By

We’ve got some serious moving in progress going on. We’re not sure when we’ll be able to check in again (heck, we’re not even sure what time we’re closing this afternoon- assuming it doesn’t get bumped to Tuesday) but we’ll stop in with more pics and info as soon as we can.

Moving Stand By Pic

Until then cross your fingers that my ceramic animal menagerie makes it to the new house in one piece and that we actually get to move in this afternoon as planned. We do plan to post some empty house pics of our first home (we figure you guys need closure just as much as we do) and of course share pics and even a quick video tour of the new house all empty and Petersik-ready when we finally get a moment and have internet access again.

Let the adventure/chaos/tears/joy/excitement/insanity begin!

Psst- Check out Clara’s weekly picture (also snapped on the packing box background) here.

Clara’s little feet and legs look cold. That baby girl needs some britches.

Sorry that is the mama coming out in me. Hope everything is going well!

Good luck! Sometimes closings can be a trying experience, but try to enjoy yourself even if it doesn’t go through today. It is common to have little delays during this process. After our closing last year we had to wait 4 hours to have access to the house, since the bank was waiting for the funds to be wired into the sellers account. Wah wah.
Best of luck to you and can’t wait to see your updates!

Waiting with bated breath to see the photo in your banner change…good luck with everything! Thinking about all of you!

    Hugs,
    Renae

P.S. At least Clara can’t talk yet. Owen said to me on one of the first days we were moved this summer, “Mommy, I want to go home.” I said (as calmly as possible) “Honey, we are home.” His bottom lip pouted out, “I mean our other home.” I can cry right now just thinking about it. Okay, I think I will!

Between living off of ice-cream and pickels, moving boxes around that weigh more than you, and the sheer anxiety of bank loans going through, I’m gonna guess you will lose a good 5lbs like I did when we moved last year. (Not that you need to, but it is an added bonus!) Buen Suerte!

Would it be lame to say that I am SO super excited and a bit emotional for you guys? I mean, we don’t know one another officially but I feel as though we do through your amazing writing on this blog. YOUR blog is what sparked my interest to want to blog so long ago (note I said “interest” – I still haven’t gotten around to it…) and I’ve watched your house through an amazing transformation as well as Sherry and your family go through an amazing transformation – in THAT house! And now you’re moving…

So yes, I am uber excited because I am sure the new house will be just as fab if not, dare I say it, more than the first and I can’t wait to see all the DIY loveliness that you two (ok, ok you 4 – I love me some Burger and Clara!) put into it. But I am a little sad to “see” you leave your first house.

LOVE the picture of Clara on the moving box (can I puh-lease, pretty please have a picture of Burger in a moving box? Please?) and can’t wait to see pics and video of the new “Casa de Petersik”!

    Hugs to you all!

I’m so happy for you. congrats. I have been following your blog for ages now and getting lots of great ideas to help with planning our little old house DIY make over. Just as we were poised to start our first real job- our 1929 kitchen renovation(we thought bringing actual running water into the kitchen might be nice, its only in the laundrey/scullery now) our city (Christchurch NZ)has a big earthquake and our poor wee house will have to be demolished. Now your blog is helping keep me sane by bringing me vacarious DIY fun and you have a whole new house for us to enjoy along with you. Thanks YHL for the therapy :-)
