JOSS ME! Our luckiest moment hasn’t happened yet and am hoping it happens soon since we’ll be doing plenty of home improvements in the next few months! I’m crossing my fingers.

JOSS ME! Ooh I think I like that store.

The house we bought last year has been our luckiest. The seller and I were “kindred spirits” as Anne would say; she left lots of goodies behind for me that I’ve had fun changing up and incorporating in making this house ours.

    JOSS ME!

Our luckiest moment was finding our home when we did. We had just about given up looking for houses, having seen over 80 already. We were at a morning showing with our realtor when she got a call that one down the street had just been listed that morning. We walked in, looked around and made an offer within minutes. It was on the market for a total of 2.5 hours!

I’m not sure I have a good luck story yet. We did get a good deal on our house due to the market, but we fought hard to get it, so I wouldn’t call it luck. :)

JOSS ME! Oh my, I just recently found out about this site and I love it. Besides the day that I found it – my luckiest moment was when I realized that the horrible border that I had been living with for two years actually just peeled right off. It was both lucky and a bit embarassing since I had imagined a multiple hour job up on a ladder and it took about 15 minutes.

I’m 4 months into my first pregnancy and when my natural non-stop decorating cravings met with that nesting instinct you hear so much about, well, watch out! I am trying to stop myself from getting too carried away this early (which is difficult!) but was excited to realize I had the perfect curtains for the nursery-to-be, they just needed to be dyed. So, I used a handy coupon and spent all of $6 and now have beautiful steely blue curtains (and hands to match…oops).

We decided to just “look” at homes to see what we could afford and found a home in foreclosure (11 years ago) We love it and our neighborhood and wouldn’t have been able to afford it on the regular real estate market.

joss me please! We put an offer in on a house in church hill the day it came back on the market after a dude before us talked the price down significantly. His loan fell through and we swooped in for the deal and got it! It’s not a perfect house, or our dream home, but it’s our first house – and therefore automatically holds a special place in our hearts.

After my ex and I separated, I needed an apartment. I was lucky to find mine on craigslist, but I didn’t think I’d get it (it’s on a horse farm and I didn’t know how to care for horses). I was so surprised to get it! I have a beautiful, big apartment that is relatively inexpensive, and I have a wonderful landlady + family who let me paint, grow veggies, etc. So lucky!

I lucked out on some decor when I visited my boyfriend’s parents in Michigan. His mom is an antiques dealer and I scored some awesome tall distressed shutters (now hung sideways over my couch), tons of picture frames (now spray painted black and hosting a collection of B&W pictures) and some cool crates (stacked in the living room with plants in them). My little VW Jetta was packed to the gills when we drove back to Philly. It was awesome.
