SO, I scored the BEST deal this weekend! Macy’s was having a huuuuuuuuge sale and I had some other discounts to take advantage of. I got lucky when a rug I had been saving for and coveting had been on sale at Garnet Hill. I went to order only to find out it had been sold out. I then was flipping through a Shades of Light catalog and found the same rug there. Since we have a local Shades of Light warehouse in Richmond I called to see if they had it and asked if they would match the sale price. They agreed so I gave my business to the local business and got free shipping since I could pick it up. A win for everyone.

We scored desks for our newly finished basement for only $3!! My husband’s work was getting rid of old office furniture so we got a couple of old 90s style laminate desks. You know the ones….no legs just a straight board for the sides and back. Some elbow grease, glossy chocolate brown paint and new pulls made for a great office desk for my husband and a crafting desk for me!

JOSS ME! I looked at a huge, gorgeous rug for our dining room from Pottery Barn for literally months. I couldn’t make myself bite the bullet and spend that much cash, and I kept up the search and found the same rug on ebay brand new for 1/3 of the original price. Yay!
