Fab Freebie: Tool Blizzard

If your current tool collection could be described as “little to no accumulation” prepare yourself for the virtual snowstorm of power tools that may be coming your way. The good people of Ryobi are forecasting over $600 worth of tools this week. There’s a 10″ Sliding Compound Miter Saw. A Cordless Brad Nailer. And, best of all, a Ryobi ONE+ Ultimate Combo Kit that’s stocked with six tools (including 3 more saws!) that all work from the included 18V lithium ion battery. And if that doesn’t get your head spinning with ideas, there are plenty to get inspired by in the Ryobi Nation community – where you can enter to win even more tools.

Ryobi Giveway

Please use the Rafflecopter widget below to enter (it might take a second to load, but it should eventually pop up below this paragraph). This giveaway is available to residents of the United States and Canada.

FYI you want that Ryobi brad nailer, thing is a BEAST!! We used it to do all the new baseboard in our house. It never jams, the battery lasts forever, it has a little led light that shines right where you’re aiming, it made the job a real pleasure. I promise I’m not a shill, but seriously, if you have a big trim project you should buy one.

I think my head might explode if I won this! I’m always looking for new furniture to replace our hand-me-downs, but I’m told not to buy anything new. So when I ask if we could instead build something, it’s always an “of course,” BUT “I don’t have the tools.” So the $200 table I want to buy would cost me maybe a little less in materials, but I also still need to buy all the tools! =/

Can’t say I’ve been a big fan of Ryobi products in the past – after one particularly annoying 5-trips-to-the-hardware-store disaster when trying to buy a tool, that then didn’t come with a battery, that then didn’t come with a charger, that then didn’t work once said battery and charger were acquired. So, it would certainly be interesting to get a whole set of tools to test out whether my experience was truly a fluke experience.

Sorry for your bad experience, it may have been a fluke. My husband and I will only buy Ryobi 18v tools now, we have quite the collection at this point. Other than the wimpy little hand vacuum, all the actual tools have been amazing. The new lithium batteries are incredible, we can go all day working and not have to recharge until we stop for the night. Also love that their stuff is backward compatible, we can use the new batteries on our older generation tools, which is great because I have a serious relationship with our trusty old Ryobi drill.

We had ongoing issues with batteries/chargers with our Ryobi tools too. It seems to be a fairly common problem, unfortunately. We finally started switching over to better brands because it didn’t seem worth it to invest more $ in a subpar product.

Oh my, we need this. Someone broke into my garage over Thanksgiving and stole my fiance’s circular saw, drill and reciprocating saw, along with a big extension cord to power them all. This would replace those AND be a great start on more.

The only saving grace was that they were clearly looking for things that were portable and left the table saw and other goodies. (Also that no one was hurt, the garage wasn’t damaged, they didn’t get into the house, etc).

What an awesome giveaway. ALL THE THINGS! I love me some Ryobi tools. It’d be awesome to have a brad nailer that doesn’t require me to lug out the heavy and awkward compressor, fiddle with knobs, and wait for the reservoir to fill before use. I also love that I can use the same battery for everything!
