Fab Freebie: Tiles For Miles

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see our winners!***

Today’s moving day (wahoooooo!) so we thought we’d slap up this week’s giveaway this morning to tide you over until we have a moment to post some house-related updates. Oh yeah, and it just happens to be the biggest giveaway we’ve ever done. By a long shot.

So I’ll get to the point. It was almost exactly one year ago that I first used a wet saw. It was love at first site, er, cut. And today we’re sharing the love, thanks to some help from The Tile Shop. And boy is it a lot of love to share. $3000 worth of love to be exact.

Tile Shop Beauty Shots

You guys probably already know The Tile Shop as an awesome spot for tile, tiling supplies, and even free DIY support (both online and in stores). In fact, a lot of stuff for our bathroom remodel last year was purchased there (or borrowed from my dad, who had purchased it there). So if any of you need the kick in the pants to get your next tiling job started (kitchen backsplash? bathroom update?) here it is: TWO of you are going to win a $950 gift card to The Tile Shop and a deluxe wet saw valued at $550. Who’s suddenly got tile fever?

Tile Shop Gift Card

Here are all the deets when it comes to getting your chance at our biggest prize to date:

  • PRIZE: This wet saw and a $950 gift card from The Tile Shop (valued at 3K, baby).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “TILE ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … let’s gush about tile. What sorts of tile are you loving? Warm natural stone surrounding an open shower? Glam metallic subway tile on a kitchen backsplash? Or maybe a modern mosaic on a fireplace surround?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 15th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The lower 48 United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Before we get to the winners names, everyone should know that you automatically get $20 off any order over $200 through the holiday. Not too shabby, eh?

Our two extremely lucky winners (as selected by random.org) are… Nadia (who just starting a huge kitchen remodel) and Heidi Kruger (who’s looking to do subway tile in her kitchen and to re-tile two bathrooms) Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from The Tile Shop.

I am loving the subway tiles right now. I had never really paid much attention to tile backsplashes until I became an Ikea shopper/lurker. They have such awesome kitchen ideas and almost always use tile backsplashes.

Our bathrooms need an update and we’ve always wanted to take down the plastic tub/shower liner and put in a great earth-toned tile. This would totally make that happen for us! Of course, we’d DIY the project but having the materials for free would be AWESOME!!!

And good luck with the move! Can’t wait for the update and the “before” of the new casa de petersik.

TILE Me!!!! please ;.) Tile is the perfect finishing touch! It’s almost like the jewelry of the room to me ;.) so I LOVE any type of mosaic tile or shimmery tile that catches the light and offers slight variations of color ;.) Tile takes me to my happy design place…I cannot wait until I am able to change the tile of my bathroom floor!

Oh wow, to even think about having all that beautiful tile at my fingertips makes me swoon! My husband and I are just embarking on our very own Young House Love journey. We just started the process of purchasing our very own, first home (!!!) and I’ve been having dreams of all the DIY projects I can do! Tiling the bathroom is the biggest, and most frequent dream I’ve had to date!

We’re loving subway tiles like we have ever since we met each other, but recently, we’ve fallen in love with the fusion glass tiles that are available (through the Tile Shop no less!) To dream about having tile..ahhh, bliss!

PLEASE have a wonderful and (hopefully!) seamless move with the bank being on time so you guys can only be home-owner-less for a few hours and not any longer!

We have “The Tile Shop” down on the corner from the house i purchased in march (if i turned right instead of left on the dog walk route i’d be in their parking lot). I litterally have never gone in there because I KNOW i’d go nuts and want to break the bank. This would be the perfect push to do that backsplash i pictured when we walked through the house before purchasing…funny how those projects get pushed back :)

    Ooohh! TILE ME!!!

What can I say about tile… aside from the fact that I scour the internet for images of the PERFECT backsplash for my kitchen , like, all day long…

The perfect tile in my opinion is glossy glass tile, in squares or subway style, with a muted pastel tone, like grey, taupe or maybe even an olive green…

Ahh, I’m daydreaming about it now.

TILE ME! My husband and I have been renegade DIY’ers for a couple of years now and have embarked on several tile projects. Our most recent was a new slate tile backsplash in our half-bath. We put up a glass mosiac tile backsplash in our kitchen last year, and now I’m planning some additional tile upgrades for our remaining two full bathrooms. We have to rent a wet saw almost everytime, so this giveaway would be amazing!!!
