Fab Freebie: Tiles For Miles

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see our winners!***

Today’s moving day (wahoooooo!) so we thought we’d slap up this week’s giveaway this morning to tide you over until we have a moment to post some house-related updates. Oh yeah, and it just happens to be the biggest giveaway we’ve ever done. By a long shot.

So I’ll get to the point. It was almost exactly one year ago that I first used a wet saw. It was love at first site, er, cut. And today we’re sharing the love, thanks to some help from The Tile Shop. And boy is it a lot of love to share. $3000 worth of love to be exact.

Tile Shop Beauty Shots

You guys probably already know The Tile Shop as an awesome spot for tile, tiling supplies, and even free DIY support (both online and in stores). In fact, a lot of stuff for our bathroom remodel last year was purchased there (or borrowed from my dad, who had purchased it there). So if any of you need the kick in the pants to get your next tiling job started (kitchen backsplash? bathroom update?) here it is: TWO of you are going to win a $950 gift card to The Tile Shop and a deluxe wet saw valued at $550. Who’s suddenly got tile fever?

Tile Shop Gift Card

Here are all the deets when it comes to getting your chance at our biggest prize to date:

  • PRIZE: This wet saw and a $950 gift card from The Tile Shop (valued at 3K, baby).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “TILE ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … let’s gush about tile. What sorts of tile are you loving? Warm natural stone surrounding an open shower? Glam metallic subway tile on a kitchen backsplash? Or maybe a modern mosaic on a fireplace surround?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 15th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The lower 48 United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Before we get to the winners names, everyone should know that you automatically get $20 off any order over $200 through the holiday. Not too shabby, eh?

Our two extremely lucky winners (as selected by random.org) are… Nadia (who just starting a huge kitchen remodel) and Heidi Kruger (who’s looking to do subway tile in her kitchen and to re-tile two bathrooms) Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from The Tile Shop.

I love blue tiles in a bathroom, something about it reminding me of a luxurious suite with a custom bathroom.

Good luck with everything on the new move, the new house looks fabulous.

    TILE ME PLEASE!

Oh how I would love to win this for my husband. He tiled our dining room, hall 1/2 bath, and shower stall himself and we had a cheapo tile cutter. This would be a dream come true. I’m sure with a better wet saw and a gift card I would finally get my kitchen back splash, and master bath room floor and sink and tub back splash done. Oh’ yeah, the hallway floor and laundry room floor too. Finally a nearly finished house. Without this giveaway, I might be hopelessly doomed to living like this forever. (ha-ha).

Thanks for hosting a super generous giveaway and thanks to The Tile Shop for sponsoring it!
    Hugs…Tracy :)

P.S. Almost forgot about my bonus question. I love any tile, glass, granite, marble but I would go with a beautiful old world looking nature stone.

TILE ME! Love various types of tile. Black slate on bathroom wall and floor, modern porcelain on kitchen backsplash, and warm stone in entry areas. Also terracotta ceramic in mud room and mosaic around the fireplace!! Need to remember to do one job at a time (will be easier with a wet saw and gift card!!).

One master bathroom reno down, but could use that tile and wet saw for and endless number of projects. I like subway tile, but think it may be dated soon. I’ll stick with the warm, natural tile.

    TILE ME!!!!

Man oh man do I love tile. And my baby. However, my husband and I are trying to figure out how to marry the two.

    Allow me to explain.

Before our son was born (5.6.10, coincidentally also his dad’s birthday, which we couldn’t have planned if we had tried), we made a looong list of house makeovers we wanted to do before he was born. Retiling our mudroom, kitchen, and bathrooms were at the top of that list.

We had all the best intentions, even as my belly grew, to rent a wet saw and attack the severely ugly southwestern tile that our previous houseowner had put in.

Well, there’s never enough time, and now we’re in 7-month old baby heaven and loving it.

However, the tile is still there, and to my horror is being showcased as our little man as our almost obsessive photo/video capturing of his life takes place on a daily basis. Of course he’s often on the floor playing, and is now crawling, and unfortunately that often highlights this terrible tile. (For example, Gray’s first crawling video: http://pregnantnotfat.com/post/2055704326/grays-crawling-sure-in-the-last-week-he)

Please, oh please pick us so that we can get to work on this tile. I have dreams of replacing its southwestern’ness (which, by the way, truly does not fit in snowy VT) which a gorgeous tile or slate.

I am loving white subway tile! I want to put it in my bathroom in the shower (much like you guys did, really). My bathroom right now is so ugly (cracked beige floor tiles, beige tiles on the wall all the way around, except for in the shower where there are a few white ones (?)) I would love to rip it all out and get something new and updated to match the rest of the house!

I also love those mosaic kitchen backsplashes, but my walls are too crooked and I don’t think I’d be able to decide on a color anyway. There are too many great options!

Would love to complete my kitchen with a backsplash or tile the mudroom floor. The mudroom has a slippery skim coat of concrete that mixed with snow is deadly!
