Fab Freebie: Tiles For Miles

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see our winners!***

Today’s moving day (wahoooooo!) so we thought we’d slap up this week’s giveaway this morning to tide you over until we have a moment to post some house-related updates. Oh yeah, and it just happens to be the biggest giveaway we’ve ever done. By a long shot.

So I’ll get to the point. It was almost exactly one year ago that I first used a wet saw. It was love at first site, er, cut. And today we’re sharing the love, thanks to some help from The Tile Shop. And boy is it a lot of love to share. $3000 worth of love to be exact.

Tile Shop Beauty Shots

You guys probably already know The Tile Shop as an awesome spot for tile, tiling supplies, and even free DIY support (both online and in stores). In fact, a lot of stuff for our bathroom remodel last year was purchased there (or borrowed from my dad, who had purchased it there). So if any of you need the kick in the pants to get your next tiling job started (kitchen backsplash? bathroom update?) here it is: TWO of you are going to win a $950 gift card to The Tile Shop and a deluxe wet saw valued at $550. Who’s suddenly got tile fever?

Tile Shop Gift Card

Here are all the deets when it comes to getting your chance at our biggest prize to date:

  • PRIZE: This wet saw and a $950 gift card from The Tile Shop (valued at 3K, baby).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “TILE ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … let’s gush about tile. What sorts of tile are you loving? Warm natural stone surrounding an open shower? Glam metallic subway tile on a kitchen backsplash? Or maybe a modern mosaic on a fireplace surround?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 15th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The lower 48 United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Before we get to the winners names, everyone should know that you automatically get $20 off any order over $200 through the holiday. Not too shabby, eh?

Our two extremely lucky winners (as selected by random.org) are… Nadia (who just starting a huge kitchen remodel) and Heidi Kruger (who’s looking to do subway tile in her kitchen and to re-tile two bathrooms) Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from The Tile Shop.

TILE ME!! Please! We just finished our small bathroom remodel…I just finished grouting last night actually. We went with inexpensive 92 cents sq ft. We couldnt really afford to go higher but it is a nice porcelian tile. We have started on our kitchen floor because what it had when we moved in was all cracked, stained and falling apart. We are at the subfloor right now. I want to go with a nice glossy smooth tile but can’t really afford anything that meets that description. This giveaway will actually help so much it’s not even funny. We love this house and want to make it right…no short cuts. If we win this I will definetly keep everyone posted with how we used the gifts. By the way we used a tile cutter to cut our tile in the bathroom and a roto-zip for the harder cuts.

My husband is a contractor so we have the labor all taken care of – we just need the tile to redo our kitchen counters, backsplash and then on to the bathroom – which needs to be completely gutted. Oh, fun times!

Tile me!!! There are lots of tile that I love: subway, mosiac and stone to name a few. We have plans to redo our kitchen and we would love to use a combination of stone and mosiac in neutral colors. Since we plan on doing the work ourselves this would be a fantastic Christmas gift for us! By the way, although moving can be tiresome, it is also VERY exciting! all the possibilities!!! Enjoy!

TILE ME! We are in the process of trying to figure out our kitchen. We had a leak on Thanksgiving under our kitchen sink and have been missing our cabinets, sink, and stovetop since that time. . . we would love to add tile to the backsplash when we put it all back. (fingerscrossed that it will happen before Christmas!)

My favorite right now are the crisp white subway tile! Love the look! I hope our 1966 kitchen can one day look like your “old” one! Merry Christmas!

    TILE ME…

We moved into our new home 5 months ago and have 3 bathrooms and a kitchen backsplash that could use some big love from the Tile Shop. LOVE LOVE LOVE the subway tile look for floor, shower, backsplash, well…just about everything! Sherry and John have been such an inspiration for DIYers, my husband Scott and I have tried to tackle most of the renovations ourselves. Please help us to add a little sparkle to our unsparkly and currently “Kermit the Frog” green rooms. We could really (I mean seriously really) use it.

TILE ME! My husband and I are also a young couple, falling in love with our (first) home! We currently have a whole lot of linoleum flooring, which I have to say is my least favorite form of flooring! We are looking to tile our bathrooms, because we know that would add a lot of richness and warmth to our home. Our very favorite kind of tile, is glass tile. It is so beautiful because of the way that the light shines through it, and the contemporary touch it leaves on a home isn’t too bad either! We’d love to win this, as my husband is in grad school, and our house renovations are a big thing we save for since we are on one income right now. We love your blog! Thank you for all your DIY things that help us to make our home beautiful on our budget!

TILE ME! Oh please, tile me. We’re in the middle of renovating our house, and the bathroom we left alone (so we’d have somewhere to shower and pee during this whole process) looks AWFUL compared to the other, nicer bathrooms. Alas, we didn’t budget for it, so now we’re stuck with this eyesore. I am seriously loving subway tiles, for bathrooms, but I’m also super into glass tiles right now. What to choose?
