Fab Freebie: Tiles For Miles

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see our winners!***

Today’s moving day (wahoooooo!) so we thought we’d slap up this week’s giveaway this morning to tide you over until we have a moment to post some house-related updates. Oh yeah, and it just happens to be the biggest giveaway we’ve ever done. By a long shot.

So I’ll get to the point. It was almost exactly one year ago that I first used a wet saw. It was love at first site, er, cut. And today we’re sharing the love, thanks to some help from The Tile Shop. And boy is it a lot of love to share. $3000 worth of love to be exact.

Tile Shop Beauty Shots

You guys probably already know The Tile Shop as an awesome spot for tile, tiling supplies, and even free DIY support (both online and in stores). In fact, a lot of stuff for our bathroom remodel last year was purchased there (or borrowed from my dad, who had purchased it there). So if any of you need the kick in the pants to get your next tiling job started (kitchen backsplash? bathroom update?) here it is: TWO of you are going to win a $950 gift card to The Tile Shop and a deluxe wet saw valued at $550. Who’s suddenly got tile fever?

Tile Shop Gift Card

Here are all the deets when it comes to getting your chance at our biggest prize to date:

  • PRIZE: This wet saw and a $950 gift card from The Tile Shop (valued at 3K, baby).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “TILE ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … let’s gush about tile. What sorts of tile are you loving? Warm natural stone surrounding an open shower? Glam metallic subway tile on a kitchen backsplash? Or maybe a modern mosaic on a fireplace surround?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 15th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The lower 48 United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Before we get to the winners names, everyone should know that you automatically get $20 off any order over $200 through the holiday. Not too shabby, eh?

Our two extremely lucky winners (as selected by random.org) are… Nadia (who just starting a huge kitchen remodel) and Heidi Kruger (who’s looking to do subway tile in her kitchen and to re-tile two bathrooms) Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from The Tile Shop.

TILE ME! We’ve got a bathroom that we need to gut and redo… glass tiles would look stunning in the shower! We would LOVE this. I tiled the floors in both our condo when we moved in and used a tile nipped for all the corners. What a mess that was. I’d adore a real tool to use!

I am smitten with classic white ceramic subway tile and all the varieties of black and white mosaic found especially on old bathroom floors, honeycomb, basket weave…ahhhh. I also melt for handmade adobe tile. We have been looking for our first home since march and I can tell you it’s going to be a fixer, a wet saw and some tilevwould be oh so sweet! My most recent hopeful has a blue sink and pink counter in the bathroom! good luck with your move!

We’re redoing our kitchen in the new year, this would be awesome to have on the job! I’m drawn to glass subway tile but there are so many amazing options out there it’s hard to choose! I have a small galley kitchen so I think we need something that helps make the space feel bigger or longer somehow.

Glass tile-and lots of it. Ok and maybe some marble. And I have a place for it-a few places even. An entire bathroom(it’s got green board and ready for it!) and a backsplash in the kitchen. Yes. Please.

My favorite tile project doesn’t actually involve tile at all. I’m loving the use of pennies as tiles. I’ve seen it done for countertops, desktops, and floors and it always looks great. If I won this prize I would buy floors for my parents. I am about to turn 24 and their floors are older than I am. Yikes!

I have been looking for a wet saw for the past 3 weeks. After a year of use the $80 diamond blade on my “dry” saw bit the dust on November while cutting cap stones for a wall. I want to move up to the big league with a wet saw. I love all the new tile options with color and texture. Tile has such a beautiful visual rhythm about it. So pleasing.

I’ve been curious about tiling our kitchen with limestone – it’s what our fireplace and exterior of our house is, so I thought it would be a nice thing to do for consistency, but maybe it’s not very practical? Hmmm… I’d be willing to do my homework if I won the gift card, that’s for sure!!

Actually, we are moving to a new house too, and I will have to replace the bathroom (major water damage) and I WANT to redo the kitchen, especially with those gorgeous glass tiles that are showing up everywhere. I am going to get to work on all that in about, oh, 20 days. It’s going to be an adventure.

The hubs and I super love subway tiles, and we desperately need some new ones that match our slate gray walls (the tiles we have now are like, adobe brownish… not so coordinating). Either that or some swanky mosaic ones with shiny thingies.
