Fab Freebie: Tiles For Miles

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see our winners!***

Today’s moving day (wahoooooo!) so we thought we’d slap up this week’s giveaway this morning to tide you over until we have a moment to post some house-related updates. Oh yeah, and it just happens to be the biggest giveaway we’ve ever done. By a long shot.

So I’ll get to the point. It was almost exactly one year ago that I first used a wet saw. It was love at first site, er, cut. And today we’re sharing the love, thanks to some help from The Tile Shop. And boy is it a lot of love to share. $3000 worth of love to be exact.

Tile Shop Beauty Shots

You guys probably already know The Tile Shop as an awesome spot for tile, tiling supplies, and even free DIY support (both online and in stores). In fact, a lot of stuff for our bathroom remodel last year was purchased there (or borrowed from my dad, who had purchased it there). So if any of you need the kick in the pants to get your next tiling job started (kitchen backsplash? bathroom update?) here it is: TWO of you are going to win a $950 gift card to The Tile Shop and a deluxe wet saw valued at $550. Who’s suddenly got tile fever?

Tile Shop Gift Card

Here are all the deets when it comes to getting your chance at our biggest prize to date:

  • PRIZE: This wet saw and a $950 gift card from The Tile Shop (valued at 3K, baby).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “TILE ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … let’s gush about tile. What sorts of tile are you loving? Warm natural stone surrounding an open shower? Glam metallic subway tile on a kitchen backsplash? Or maybe a modern mosaic on a fireplace surround?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 15th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The lower 48 United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Before we get to the winners names, everyone should know that you automatically get $20 off any order over $200 through the holiday. Not too shabby, eh?

Our two extremely lucky winners (as selected by random.org) are… Nadia (who just starting a huge kitchen remodel) and Heidi Kruger (who’s looking to do subway tile in her kitchen and to re-tile two bathrooms) Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from The Tile Shop.

TILE ME, We are living the middle of our remodeling project, which includes both of the bathrooms and one kitchen floor in our duplex and would love to be able to do something really fun in the upstairs bath. A better saw would be pretty nice too.

Oh my god! Tile me! I love me some black and white checkered tiles for the floor, and white subway tiles on the walls. I need to do my kitchen badly, and I’m thinking black and white would be totally sweet. (With a lot of color on the top part of the walls and accessories.)

TILE ME! Where do I begin with all the things I want to tile or retile?! We just moved into our thirty year old home and, well, the 1970s just wasn’t a good era for several things, including tile (and faux stone veneers that cover WHOLE walls!)!

Our kitchen has brown grout (admittedly, easier to make look “clean” but so out of fashion!). I really don’t know what kind of tile I would like to put in there, but probably a textural slate grey. Our master bath likewise has some atrocious linoleum that badly needs replacing, and I am thinking something glam and Paris-inspired, maybe black & white, though I will have to look to find the right one! Sigh…

TILE ME! Love clean white subway tile for kitchen backsplashes and also love glass tile. But our bathroom really needs a new tile floor. It has what looks to be either the original or the-one-after-the-original ugly dark green and black tile. So gross. Would love to change it to classic black and white tile. Would also love to win!

I really need this to finish our kitchen remodel. We haven’t had a backsplash for MONTHS. Almost a year, actually [blush]. I’d put up some great glass tile, and then re-tile our second bathroom. [fingers crossed]

TILE ME! Between the kitchen that doesn’t have a backsplash at all and my one and only bathroom that the previous owners, ahem, “updated,” I’d love me some tile! (Instead of renovating, the previous owners nailed large horizontal boards around the bathroom ON TOP of the tile and screwed vinyl sheets into the wall around the tub. I haven’t had the finances to fix it up right in the four years I’ve owned the house.)

The tile and grout in my master bathroom was once a brilliant, glowing white, I am sure of it! But since our new purchase of our home the master is the one place I am willing to skip over in a tour. Help me relax in one of the few rooms in a house meant soley for relaxtion. Not to mention all the other DIY projects I could have fun with!

TILE ME! We built our own house 15 years ago. The one thing we didn’t finish (as we like to pay-as-we-go, like you do) was the tile floor in our bathroom. We put in a temporary vinyl floor after tiling our laundry room, sunroom & upstairs bathroom. My husband has kept in practice tiling though, as he’s helped several friends & family members tile kitchens & bathrooms. It would be great to cross this off our list (after 15 years)!
Happy 1st Christmas in your new house!

TILE ME!! I’m LOVING glass tile, these days… cannot seem to get enough of it! But the simple clean lines of subway tile seem so perfect for our bathroom. Since the kitchen and bathroom will both be redone sono, this gift would be MORE than perfect! We’re going to DIY as much as possible…

Oh I just get giddy thinking about glass tile backsplashes and subway tile in the bathroom. SQUEE!!
