Today’s moving day (wahoooooo!) so we thought we’d slap up this week’s giveaway this morning to tide you over until we have a moment to post some house-related updates. Oh yeah, and it just happens to be the biggest giveaway we’ve ever done. By a long shot.
So I’ll get to the point. It was almost exactly one year ago that I first used a wet saw. It was love at first site, er, cut. And today we’re sharing the love, thanks to some help from The Tile Shop. And boy is it a lot of love to share. $3000 worth of love to be exact.
You guys probably already know The Tile Shop as an awesome spot for tile, tiling supplies, and even free DIY support (both online and in stores). In fact, a lot of stuff for our bathroom remodel last year was purchased there (or borrowed from my dad, who had purchased it there). So if any of you need the kick in the pants to get your next tiling job started (kitchen backsplash? bathroom update?) here it is: TWO of you are going to win a $950 gift card to The Tile Shop and a deluxe wet saw valued at $550. Who’s suddenly got tile fever?
Here are all the deets when it comes to getting your chance at our biggest prize to date:
- PRIZE: This wet saw and a $950 gift card from The Tile Shop (valued at 3K, baby).
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “TILE ME!” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: … let’s gush about tile. What sorts of tile are you loving? Warm natural stone surrounding an open shower? Glam metallic subway tile on a kitchen backsplash? Or maybe a modern mosaic on a fireplace surround?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 15th at 8pm EST
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
- PRIZE SHIPS: The lower 48 United States
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
******************************
Before we get to the winners names, everyone should know that you automatically get $20 off any order over $200 through the holiday. Not too shabby, eh?
Our two extremely lucky winners (as selected by random.org) are… Nadia (who just starting a huge kitchen remodel) and Heidi Kruger (who’s looking to do subway tile in her kitchen and to re-tile two bathrooms) Congrats!
Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from The Tile Shop.

TILE ME!!
We’re moving into our new house at the end of January. Great house, but needs a lot of updating (80s colonial).
Like you, we are HUGE fans of classic white subway tile. I’d love to skip the off white (with herb themed accent tiles!) backsplash that is currently in place (and makes me hesitant to think we could pull off painting the 80s oak cabinets white). Would love to paint cabs and redo the backsplash.
Gina P says

My parents just refloored our entire house (where I live most of the year!) and I know my Dad wants to do more tile than they could afford — and they love DIY! This would be like the best present ever for them! :)
Tabatha says
GOOD LORD TILE ME!!
We actually have half of a master bathroom right now that’s waiting for us to be able to afford the tile to complete it. I’m very much in love with retro-feel tile, including glossy black subway tile. We have a red clawfoot tub we’re refinishing that would just pop amazingly against a black background. This would mean we could finally finish our modest master bath AND tackle a foyer project we’ve been hoping to do. We’ve had two kids in two years, and this would mean we could finally carve out a space for ourselves and stop living in constant construction.
marilyn says
Tile me! I’ve been so desperately craving a tile backsplash in my kitchen! Either shiny white subway tiles, or maybe some of those little 1×1″ glass ones? They’re gorgeous.
Michelle M. says
TILE ME! I’d love to put some tiles up for a backsplash in our kitchen. We currently have 50 year old stick on fake brick that we painted white. Ugh!

TILE ME!
I’m dreaming of doing a kitchen backsplash similar to the one in this gorgeous and to-die-for kitchen: http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lcl2632ZFa1qzb2hmo1_500.jpg
adria says
Tile ME! please!
We are trying to put together a kitchen/entry/powder room make over for the spring time and this would be just the most perfect win ever.
I’m dreaming of glass mixed with natural stones for our back splash, and some kind of natural stone floor for the three spaces…
Carly says
TILE ME! Winning this would allow us to finish our kitchen backsplash and get started replacing the tile in our very sad looking bathrooms. Any tile that is not in danger of falling off the wall on my very pregnant belly would be wonderful.
Ang says
TILE ME! We’re taking over my MIL’s house, and I am LOVING the dark faux wood grain porcelain tiles for the kitchen floor, and some warm natural stone for the backsplash. There is NO tile in the bathroom at all. It makes me sad inside, and I really want to put some great glass tiles in there to brighten it up some.
Christina C says
Tile me! I’m a huge fan of all things tiled. This would be a fabulous wedding present for my sister and her fiance who are hoping to add a bathroom to their house!
Heather says
TILE ME! We would LOVE to put some tile down in both bathrooms….we just moved into a new house with carpet in the bathrooms and that just won’t work for this household!
Nicholas Gatlin says
OMG TILE ME, TILE ME, TILE ME! We just moved into a 60’s house in desperate need of some fabulous tile in the baths and kitchen. And The Tile Shop’s tile is FABULOUS!
