Fab Freebie: Tiles For Miles

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see our winners!***

Today’s moving day (wahoooooo!) so we thought we’d slap up this week’s giveaway this morning to tide you over until we have a moment to post some house-related updates. Oh yeah, and it just happens to be the biggest giveaway we’ve ever done. By a long shot.

So I’ll get to the point. It was almost exactly one year ago that I first used a wet saw. It was love at first site, er, cut. And today we’re sharing the love, thanks to some help from The Tile Shop. And boy is it a lot of love to share. $3000 worth of love to be exact.

Tile Shop Beauty Shots

You guys probably already know The Tile Shop as an awesome spot for tile, tiling supplies, and even free DIY support (both online and in stores). In fact, a lot of stuff for our bathroom remodel last year was purchased there (or borrowed from my dad, who had purchased it there). So if any of you need the kick in the pants to get your next tiling job started (kitchen backsplash? bathroom update?) here it is: TWO of you are going to win a $950 gift card to The Tile Shop and a deluxe wet saw valued at $550. Who’s suddenly got tile fever?

Tile Shop Gift Card

Here are all the deets when it comes to getting your chance at our biggest prize to date:

  • PRIZE: This wet saw and a $950 gift card from The Tile Shop (valued at 3K, baby).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “TILE ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … let’s gush about tile. What sorts of tile are you loving? Warm natural stone surrounding an open shower? Glam metallic subway tile on a kitchen backsplash? Or maybe a modern mosaic on a fireplace surround?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 15th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The lower 48 United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Before we get to the winners names, everyone should know that you automatically get $20 off any order over $200 through the holiday. Not too shabby, eh?

Our two extremely lucky winners (as selected by random.org) are… Nadia (who just starting a huge kitchen remodel) and Heidi Kruger (who’s looking to do subway tile in her kitchen and to re-tile two bathrooms) Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from The Tile Shop.

We’re loving natural, earthy colors. They’ll work beautifully in our master bath (which we’re getting ready to gut and redo…needing it badly!).

Fingers crossed for a smooth and easy close (and MOVE) today!

My husband and I will be redoing our sad looking kitchen within the next year and i cannot wait to get some fresh looking tile in there. There is currently no tile and I think I would love to see a light beige or whitish larger sized rectangular glass tile. We don not have much light in our kitchen and I think the glass tile brings in some shine!

I have long enjoyed playing around with tile and patterns, but I prefer to do it on outdoor concrete stepping stones, or I did a birdbath – we also tiled our side little concrete patio, and I made a “river” through it of broken blue tile and blue grout…looked great. But I also put tile on an old sofa table, and it’s one of my favorite things e.v.e.r!

Oh PLEASE, out of the goodness of your hearts, TILE ME! We close on our first house in about 2 weeks, and we will be completely re-doing the interior (cosmetically, not structurally, thank goodness!) I have always dreamed of a white subway tile backsplash in my kitchen and a muted-tone glass mosaic tile surround around our fireplace (which is currently just a black tar-like solid “painted” surface).

**fingers crossed for a win, even though I have never won a random-drawing ever!**

Good luck with your move–ours starts this weekend with a 10 day stay at my mom’s while we wait to close on our house!

I love love love glass subway tile and we recently added some to our kitchen. The kitchen project was all done by us… until we hit the tile backsplash :(. We are DIYers, but we use the help of my mom and her husband. Between all of us, it just seemed like too much of a daunting task after all that work… lame I know. Our master bathroom is in major need of an overhaul and I would love to add some tile just like you guys did! The marble look of the warm brown tile is awesome. We need some help though!

TILE ME! We are in DESPERATE need of a bathroom reno— meaning, tiles falling off the wall desperate. We’re planning on doing it come tax season. I’d LOVE to do white subway tile to the ceiling, and maybe a little mosiac border in there… not sure yet, but white allows you to paint the room ANY COLOR!! THanks for the chance to win, and good luck on the move, it’s SO exciting getting a new house!!!

We’re about to start tiling our kitchen. For our kitchen, we recently paint the walls and ceiling, painted all the old cabinets, bought custom raw wood cabinets doors, and are still working on painting all the doors. Next will be the tile floor. My wife and I have spent hours and hours in the The Tile Shop gushing over their beautiful room displays and wishing we had the time, budget, and house for similar projects. We really like some of the modern slate gray tiles in the 2 ft long rectangle shapes. On the other hand we also love the really expensive travertine tiles they have.
