We gave random.org the assignment again of helping us choose our winner and they chose… Sarah (who could think of 10 little projects that have added up that she could use this for). Congrats Sarah!
Since the early days of YHL, we’ve been buddies with the foursome over at One Project Closer. Ethan, Fred, and their wives Jocie and Kim dish up tutorials, tool reviews and decor posts to help us all get (say it with me) one project closer to our dream house. Recently they’ve launched a series of “Pro-Follows” where the boys tag along with professional contractors to document big projects like building a deck (which we may be referencing soon ourselves). But if that makes you break into a sweat, perhaps their new The Better Half section (where the ladies tackle design and craft projects) is more your speed. The previous owners didn’t really do much(maybe cut the grass?) with the yard so to say we have some weeds and overgrown trees is an understatement. So far we’ve been in the house 2.5 years and we are finally now getting everything under control but there is still a lot we’d like to do.

Get me closer to finding a way to resurface our little back patio atrium! The previous owners pulled up some old tile or something, didn’t bother to scrape off the adhesive, then threw some paint on top of it all. Not that attractive. I hope to be able to use a power washer to blast away all the old crud, then try a cola-stained cement effect and clear sealant. Thanks! :)

Get Me Closer to finishing the master bedroom/bathroom. We painted the bedroom months ago, but still need to install and paint a few sections of baseboards. Then in the bathroom, I taped things off in blue tape and that’s it. I stare at that blue tape every morning!
