Well, I will be moving into a new apartment with my future husband after our wedding on October 16th, so I’ve got quite a few projects on my mind. I think first on my list, though, is painting the dresser I’m taking with me that still has rocking horses stenciled on the front of it.

We’ve got this great overhead built in ledge/shelf that i’d love string some party strand lights across to create a cozy fall and winter atmosphere. we live in florida so a fireplace is out of the question.. but a warm glow would still be nice!

fall and winter projects….well, we’ve got our first baby on the way and due in 6 weeks! yikes. :) so, come october, big projects might take a back seat until we attempt to make the transition into parenthood. but…before all that, we tackling putting some soundproof material in our basement. sounds weird, i know. but my husband and three others work out of an office in our basement, and we’ve found that the floor/walls aren’t as thick as we’d like them to be. and with a newborn about to be in the house, there’s bound to be some crying. and a screaming baby when someone is downstairs on the phone trying to drum up new business could be kinda stressful. so…we’re looking into putting some sound proof material in the ceiling in the basement. anyone have any tips on such a thing?!
