Our list is loooooooong! In two weeks we are starting a remodel on a home we own and are moving back into, which has been tenant-occupied for the past couple of years. Fall will be consumed with painting the whole place, putting in new floors, painting kitchen cabinets, and putting together a nursery for our baby girl due in December. Whew! Hopefully in early 2012 we will put in new kitchen counters and appliances and tile a backsplash — depending what our tax refund looks like! Wish us luck!

Our upcoming house projects include: Painting, Tiling, and Replacing Sinks & Faucets in 2 bathrooms, refinishing wood floors in 3 rooms, re-staining the front & back deck, changing the hinge hardware on all the cabinets in the kitchen and bathrooms, and putting a fresh coat of contractor white on the walls in 3 rooms! zow, what a list!

My plans for the next few months center around getting ready for our first baby (due in February)! We’ll be ripping out our shoddy carpet and laying laminate hardwood floors, installing new toilets, and repainting the entire inside of the house. Yowza!

I want to finally finish my office. It’s nearly done, but still needs some finishing touches; new chair, wall art, maybe a cool light fixture and some minor organization. After that it’ll be finishing up decorating the dining room. It’s walls have been naked for far too long. My goal is to complete everything before our 2-year anniversary of being in our house. November 17 will be here before we know it!
