Fab Freebie: Stain Master

Lately we’ve been doing lots of thinking about how to bring our dull front porch back to life for the BHG 48-Hour Challenge. We did a rough stain and seal job a couple years back, but its vibrancy was long gone and we knew there had to be a few more interesting options. Cue (with perfect timing) an e-mail from Olympic Paint reminding us about their great line of exterior stains. And, since we love sharing the love, we asked  “how about giving away some exterior stain to some of our readers?” I think you can guess what their answer was…

Yup, we scored THREE gallons of Oympic Exterior Stain to give away to a trio of randomly selected readers. If you’ve got a deck or porch that needs a fresh face, they’ve got toners and semi-transparent stains a plenty. If you’re looking to inject some color into some outdoor furniture or fencing, they’ve got over 110 solid tones to pick from. And if you’re ready to update your cedar siding… well, you’ll probably need a few extra gallons for that project, but a free one will certainly get you started. And might we suggest one of these cool blue hues?

And if you haven’t quite mastered staining yet, why not tell us something you do consider yourself to be a master at. Gardening? Business administration? The Stair Master?     Actually, I’m learning as I go for the first time about updating our house which has good bones but has been terribly neglected. But I’m a master at cooking good ol’ southern comfort food.

    I’M A STAIN MASTER! We matered the staining of our treated wood fence and porches… now it looks like we’ll be needing to restain the porches each year due to our snow-shoveling northern climate. It just takes the stain right off! Darn winters!

    I’m a Stain Master….
    I’m not a master of staining, but my children are for sure (smiles and giggles on that comment).
    Hmmmm, I can paint…….I can decorate…….I just need more funds to buy more paint. But hey, maybe I’ll just stain everything!!!!!!!

    I’m a stain master! Or maybe I will be once we roll up our sleeves and actually, you know, stain something (deck).

    If there is a master designation for someone who spends hours looking at pictures for house inspiration and yet never quite commits to actually painting or decorating a single thing… yeah, I’m that.

    I’m a stain master!

    Even though our deck will be stained this summer, I’m actually more of a graden mistress. I’ll be out there barefoot and pregnant until the mosquitoes and the cold force me in.

    IM A STAIN MASTER!!!! actually far from it!! I guess you could say I’m a treadmill master….3 miles a day 5x a week. Our deck needs a good stain job though!
