Fab Freebie: Seasons’ Greetings

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

Yes, I know it looks like I have a misplaced apostrophe up there, but trust me on this one. This week’s prize will have one of you sending handwritten greetings across all seasons of the year (see, I’m looking less punctuationally deviant already).

Shout Out Emmy Lu

As you may recall from Friday’s thank-you-to-our-sponsors post, Emmy Lu Design Studio is an awesome source for beautiful custom stationery with a DIY twist. Once you pick the style and fill in the custom details (whether it be a holiday card, personal stationery, an invitation or even a baby announcement) Emmy Lu hooks you up with a ready-to-print PDF. That means you can print as many as you want (whether you need five or five million), on any paper you want (bargain or mega-fancy-pants), for as long as you want (the file’s yours for eternity). Kinda genius, no?

Emmylu Giveaway

And since it’s nearly impossible to pick your favorite design, this week’s winner is getting a year’s worth of them! That means a new card/invite/announcement of the winner’s choosing for every month of the year (which loosely translates to 12 excuses to throw a party, pen a thank you note or even write your mom a letter for crying out loud).

So here’s how you can get your hands on these greetings by the dozen:

  • PRIZE: One custom Emmy Lu design per month (of $50 or less) for an entire year (that’s up to a $600 value!)
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “EMMY ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us what you do to send seasonal greetings. Do you pose for a traditional family Christmas card? Or something quirkier (like photoshopping your chihuahua)? Maybe you abstain from the madness completely?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 9th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Anywhere in the world!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

Emmy Me! Up until last year we just sent out Christmas cards that we purchased in bulk. We decided last year to do a picture Christmas card with a personal message from our family, and we plan on continuing that tradition each year. This year will be especially interesting since we’re going to try to get a good photo with our dog and 1-month-old :).

EMMY ME!!! I do a photo card and it ALWAYS has our 3 dogs in it – thought it has changed over the years – one year it was just the dogs, one year it was us and the dogs and this year when my husband refused to take the dogs to our family picture taking (b/c I will have to agree – they had a little too much fun running around the park last year and their tongues were on the ground and not so attractive in the picture) so it is a picture of us and our daughter then the dogs got their own little individual pics :) I love to send letters and would LOVE to win this prize!

EMME ME! My family never misses the traditional Christmas card and letter updating friends and family on all the year’s happenings. However, with newborn babies in the family we have reinstated the annual family photos to add to the Christmas card…and the dogs are always included in the mug shot with their custom made christmas scarves made by my mother.

We totally abstain from the christmas card madness- being a pastor keeps me way to busy during the season to be addressing cards…. but if I could just print something fab the possibility would certainly be stronger!

    I love her designs!

My family has been doing the holiday picture posing thing for the past 5 years or so. Last year we all just piled on the couch together, we’ve also done leaf throwing thing and tangled Christmas lights pose. It is always a fun family bonding time. Being engaged, I am already getting excited to do a creative fun photo card with my new husband(!) next Christmas! :)

I had planned on writing out all our Christmas cards this past weekend, but didn’t get around to it! I really need to get it done during the week so that they get out in time! :) I send traditional cards found at the store. We have no cute baby to wrap in lights, and sadly our 2 feline babies are much too rambunctious to sit still for a photo op. I would love some of Emmy Lu’s designs to make things more unique!

I usually buy cards with a cut out area for a photo. We do this every year. We also include a Christmas letter to our family and friends that we don’t get to see or talk to as often. I actually started a scrapbook which holds our Christmas card and Christmas letter we’ve put together each year so that in 20 years from now we can look back and see what we were doing and what photo we took from say our 3rd Christmas together. :)

I would love to win this prize, these cards are so pretty!

EMMY ME! I am never consistent with Christmas cards, but I am going to make it happen this year. I think one of my best years, I wrote out a typed letter with pictures that I had taken throughout the year as a border. That was fun and showed what I had been up to. It has been a busy year now that I am a newly wed, so it would be perfect to try that again!

We send out photo cards. I usually try to take a posed shot of both our boys together, but the toddler would have none of that nonsense this year. I just pulled a few of our favorite snapshots from the entire year instead to create a “visual Christmas letter.”
