Fab Freebie: Seasons’ Greetings

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

Yes, I know it looks like I have a misplaced apostrophe up there, but trust me on this one. This week’s prize will have one of you sending handwritten greetings across all seasons of the year (see, I’m looking less punctuationally deviant already).

Shout Out Emmy Lu

As you may recall from Friday’s thank-you-to-our-sponsors post, Emmy Lu Design Studio is an awesome source for beautiful custom stationery with a DIY twist. Once you pick the style and fill in the custom details (whether it be a holiday card, personal stationery, an invitation or even a baby announcement) Emmy Lu hooks you up with a ready-to-print PDF. That means you can print as many as you want (whether you need five or five million), on any paper you want (bargain or mega-fancy-pants), for as long as you want (the file’s yours for eternity). Kinda genius, no?

Emmylu Giveaway

And since it’s nearly impossible to pick your favorite design, this week’s winner is getting a year’s worth of them! That means a new card/invite/announcement of the winner’s choosing for every month of the year (which loosely translates to 12 excuses to throw a party, pen a thank you note or even write your mom a letter for crying out loud).

So here’s how you can get your hands on these greetings by the dozen:

  • PRIZE: One custom Emmy Lu design per month (of $50 or less) for an entire year (that’s up to a $600 value!)
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “EMMY ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us what you do to send seasonal greetings. Do you pose for a traditional family Christmas card? Or something quirkier (like photoshopping your chihuahua)? Maybe you abstain from the madness completely?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 9th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Anywhere in the world!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

What a love gift that would keep on giving. There is nothing better than getting a little note or card from a friend or loved one. Would love to send these out!

Usually due to cost and time, I just send out pre-fab cards found at Target. But would love to do something extra special, like Emmy lou designs.

    EMMY ME!

Call me old fashioned, but I’m really big on sending cards, notes, letters, you name it! Nothing beats receiving mail. So I send out a pretty Christmas card every year to family and friends all over (sans pictures, since I’m just a single gal at this point). But by next Christmas I’ll be married, so I could really benefit from all the fun designs over the next year!

emmy me! I abstain. I’m not a big card person, but if I did send them, it would only be out to out of town friends. I do not get why people send Christmas cards to people they’re going to see during the holidays! I LOVE Christmas, but this is one thing I am not on board with.

I do cards but usually try to add a little extra something, like tucking a recipe card for one of my favorite holiday recipes into the card. Next year I’m thinking of sending out CDs of holiday songs instead of a card.

golly, i’m not too much for christmas cards, though i’ve been known to do shutterfly cards that involve groups of people putting on elaborately silly costumes for the photo shoot. mostly i keep my mailing of lovely cards to every other week of the year! Instead of doing the “traditional” Christmas card in December, we wait until January to send out greetings for a New Year. Then we can personalize them more, such as, “It was great seeing you at Grandma’s house on Christmas. You get more fabulous every year!”

EMMY ME! I would totally use this. I know four friends who just got engaged and three who are having babies…It seems I will be throwing showers monthly in 2010! My husband and I are embarking on our first holiday christmas card. Probably something simple and short…more about appreciating the person recieving it and less about what we are doing.

I also send a Christmas letter, along with a card and a photo of my kids. I don’t understand it but I have people beg me to get on my card list because they have read the letter I have sent their friends or family. Maybe because I am brutally honest about our year good and bad. It tends to end up being kinda funny.
It’s one of my favorite things to do each year. Getting my cards ready and mailed.

My husband, three girls & I take a family picture every year. We have cards printed up with the pictures and send a traditional Christmas letter updating friends & family of all that’s happened in the past year. This year our pictures were taken on train carts w/ the fall leaves in the background. Love them!!

My family used to do a picture of all of us together. The year that my sister was abroad in brazil my brother was put in charge of photoshopping her into the pic. We had gotten into a fight earlier that day and he decided to make one of my girls bigger than the other to get revenge. It wasn’t until after the cards had been sent out that he confessed.
