Fab Freebie: Seasons’ Greetings

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

Yes, I know it looks like I have a misplaced apostrophe up there, but trust me on this one. This week’s prize will have one of you sending handwritten greetings across all seasons of the year (see, I’m looking less punctuationally deviant already).

Shout Out Emmy Lu

As you may recall from Friday’s thank-you-to-our-sponsors post, Emmy Lu Design Studio is an awesome source for beautiful custom stationery with a DIY twist. Once you pick the style and fill in the custom details (whether it be a holiday card, personal stationery, an invitation or even a baby announcement) Emmy Lu hooks you up with a ready-to-print PDF. That means you can print as many as you want (whether you need five or five million), on any paper you want (bargain or mega-fancy-pants), for as long as you want (the file’s yours for eternity). Kinda genius, no?

Emmylu Giveaway

And since it’s nearly impossible to pick your favorite design, this week’s winner is getting a year’s worth of them! That means a new card/invite/announcement of the winner’s choosing for every month of the year (which loosely translates to 12 excuses to throw a party, pen a thank you note or even write your mom a letter for crying out loud).

So here’s how you can get your hands on these greetings by the dozen:

  • PRIZE: One custom Emmy Lu design per month (of $50 or less) for an entire year (that’s up to a $600 value!)
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “EMMY ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us what you do to send seasonal greetings. Do you pose for a traditional family Christmas card? Or something quirkier (like photoshopping your chihuahua)? Maybe you abstain from the madness completely?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 9th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Anywhere in the world!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

    Emmy Me!

I do send out the Christmas cards, but no pictures or anything. I wish I took more time to get in touch with friends and relatives. Maybe some custom stationary would start me on that road.

We ALWAYS send cards too late – mostly because I always intend to make them… and THEN I rush last minute to find card that I actually like, sign them super quick, and send them on out!

We go the traditional Christmas card route, though we buy regular cards post Christmas the year prior to save a little dough.

Oh, and I think I should win because my name is Emily Louise and people have always called me Emmy Lou!! :)

    EMMY ME!
In the past, while still living at home, my mom would send cards out and maybe even stick some school pictures in there too. Once I was out on my own, I sent pre-made cards out and continued to do so even after we were married. The first year, I had those suckers labeled and stamped by Thanksgiving because I was so darn excited to send out cards with OUR names on them. Last year I sent cards out, although if I remember correctly, they didn’t make it to the mailbox until December 23. This year, I decided that I will send only a few – grandparents, close friends that no longer live in the state. We can’t really afford the massive amounts of stamps (No, that’s not right. We CAN, and WILL, for baby gift thank-yous!) and my poor pregnant brain just can’t handle it. Shoot, I still haven’t decorated yet because it just overwhelms me. A lot.

I would be beyond excited to win this giveaway!

EMMY ME…what a great prize. I send out “Happy New Year” cards, can’t get my act together on time for Christmas cards, and they do contain a “candid” shot of my 3 kids. I made the mistake of not sending out a photo card to all my realtives when my first born was a baby and got holy heck for it! I had to send out homemade valentines with her picture in it to appease the family. :)

We usually do the Christmas card thing and celebrate with both sides of the family. This year, since funds are limited, we are making cards for everyone letting each person know just how special their presence in our lives is. Our friends and families have supported us beyond what we could ever imagine, and so we will thank them with kind words for Christmas.

My parents always use a photo from Christmas of us all sitting around the tree and send that out as a New Year’s card. My husband and I are not so creative. We picked up a couple boxes of greeting cards and have yet to do anything with them. We seem to have a tradition of waiting until the last minute to send them out.

We traditionally do a Christmas Card that we create. It’s different every year. However, this year was hectic so we simply uploaded a photo onto Snapfish and they kindly sent us 250 Christmas Cards and envelopes in return! Easy!
