Fab Freebie: Seasons’ Greetings

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

Yes, I know it looks like I have a misplaced apostrophe up there, but trust me on this one. This week’s prize will have one of you sending handwritten greetings across all seasons of the year (see, I’m looking less punctuationally deviant already).

Shout Out Emmy Lu

As you may recall from Friday’s thank-you-to-our-sponsors post, Emmy Lu Design Studio is an awesome source for beautiful custom stationery with a DIY twist. Once you pick the style and fill in the custom details (whether it be a holiday card, personal stationery, an invitation or even a baby announcement) Emmy Lu hooks you up with a ready-to-print PDF. That means you can print as many as you want (whether you need five or five million), on any paper you want (bargain or mega-fancy-pants), for as long as you want (the file’s yours for eternity). Kinda genius, no?

Emmylu Giveaway

And since it’s nearly impossible to pick your favorite design, this week’s winner is getting a year’s worth of them! That means a new card/invite/announcement of the winner’s choosing for every month of the year (which loosely translates to 12 excuses to throw a party, pen a thank you note or even write your mom a letter for crying out loud).

So here’s how you can get your hands on these greetings by the dozen:

  • PRIZE: One custom Emmy Lu design per month (of $50 or less) for an entire year (that’s up to a $600 value!)
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “EMMY ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us what you do to send seasonal greetings. Do you pose for a traditional family Christmas card? Or something quirkier (like photoshopping your chihuahua)? Maybe you abstain from the madness completely?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 9th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Anywhere in the world!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

I haven’t sent out cards yet, but maybe next year. I’ll just procrastinate another year!

Our Christmas card photos usually reflect somewhere that the previous year has taken us… Italy, Jamaica or the middle of a frozen lake! We’re hoping next year’s Christmas cards will feature us wearing Santa hats in front of the Great Pyramids!

I’m just so glad I’ve finally read “anywhere in the world”! My boyfriend and I never send out xmas cards, but I don’t feel too bad about it because here (in Argentina!)that’s something that only companies do! Or at least we’ve never got or seen such a thing from friends or family!

I am terrible about Christmas cards. But, I settled on a short list this year (we just sent out baby announcements a couple months ago), so I am hoping to actually accomplish that! OH, and I’ve never done a custom Christmas card before… always stock cards.

I’m really terrible about sending Christmas cards. I usually just go with e-cards. When my family is more than just me, though, I think it’d be fun to do picture cards.

I always do Christmas cards, but since David moved to Auburn I’ve had to be more creative to do a card with both boys on it, since I don’t always have a new picture of them together! But I have — so far! — always managed to come up with something!

We send out traditional Christmas cards, but we put in a letter that is more “laugh along with us about our life” as opposed to “look at our perfect family” … it’s a lot of fun to write.

We always send a family picture – usually posed, but not studioed. And everyone in the family has to be in it; we like seeing everyone! I guess we just do that because that’s what my family did growing up (though my dad would always write a hilarious Christmas letter to go with it).

Whatever that is, it will involve lots of pictures of the cutest baby in the world. I need to get on that. Christmas is getting closer every day.

    “Emmy Me!”
My love for sending greeting’s and cards began when I was very young. For the past few years, I have done photo cards. I get very creative with them by photoshopping Clark Griswold, A Christmas Story, Miracle on 34th Street, The Grinch, and good ole’ Charlie Brown into my photo’s to add a funny element to our pix. This year I plan to get more hands on as a diy-er and make my own cards using embellishments and scrapbooking materials. I like alot of natural eco-friendly products as well. I think sending greetings are an important part of the Holidays because for some it may be the only thing they recieve but they will know someone is thinking of them this Holiday season. My great grandmother passed away this past July and she would never forget the cards I sent her. Usually for all occasions but mostly “just because”. Out of her 44 grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, she always would brag that I was the only one that thought to send her cards. They meant everything to her. Now that shes gone, the ones I recieved from her mean everything to me. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
