Fab Freebie: Seasons’ Greetings

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

Yes, I know it looks like I have a misplaced apostrophe up there, but trust me on this one. This week’s prize will have one of you sending handwritten greetings across all seasons of the year (see, I’m looking less punctuationally deviant already).

Shout Out Emmy Lu

As you may recall from Friday’s thank-you-to-our-sponsors post, Emmy Lu Design Studio is an awesome source for beautiful custom stationery with a DIY twist. Once you pick the style and fill in the custom details (whether it be a holiday card, personal stationery, an invitation or even a baby announcement) Emmy Lu hooks you up with a ready-to-print PDF. That means you can print as many as you want (whether you need five or five million), on any paper you want (bargain or mega-fancy-pants), for as long as you want (the file’s yours for eternity). Kinda genius, no?

Emmylu Giveaway

And since it’s nearly impossible to pick your favorite design, this week’s winner is getting a year’s worth of them! That means a new card/invite/announcement of the winner’s choosing for every month of the year (which loosely translates to 12 excuses to throw a party, pen a thank you note or even write your mom a letter for crying out loud).

So here’s how you can get your hands on these greetings by the dozen:

  • PRIZE: One custom Emmy Lu design per month (of $50 or less) for an entire year (that’s up to a $600 value!)
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “EMMY ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us what you do to send seasonal greetings. Do you pose for a traditional family Christmas card? Or something quirkier (like photoshopping your chihuahua)? Maybe you abstain from the madness completely?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 9th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Anywhere in the world!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

    EMMY ME!!!
My family sends out the traditional family christmas card picture, but as an unmarried 22 year old, I like to send hand-written cards to some of my best college friends because we are all scattered across the country from Alabama to California!

I am SOOO behind on doing my Christmas card this year… because I take a picture of my son and do a photo-card but my son had a big scratch on his face for 2 weeks and it’s finally gone away- so I NEED to take his pic tomorrow and get started… so if I won this lovely Emmy Lu prize- that would be OH SO helpful!!

Emmy me! I usually send Christmas cards, but it isn’t happening this year. I’m thinking about doing an e-card, though, to send to those who have email addresses. Next year I’ll do proper cards again.

I’m a bit quirky when it comes to holiday cards – I send a funny Photoshopped picture via email the week before Christmas, since the holiday time is usually a flurry of paper for me – and I much more appreciate emails this time of year. I send out paper cards for little holidays throughout the year like National Hug Day.

Emmy Me!! My husband and I are spending our first Christmas together in our new home and one new tradition we started was sitting in front of our cozy fireplace, wine glasses in hand (of course!), with Christmas music playing and writing out Christmas cards to family and friends. :) Our comments on the Christmas cards got more and more creative as the wine drinking continued…lol…

I send out cards every year, but just to friends and family that we don’t see that often…. BUT I write a personal note in each one! So it takes forever, but as my moms says, if you are going to go through the trouble of sending a card in the mail, it seems so silly to just sign your name and not say anything else!

EMMY ME! I am 26 and married, but do not have any kids (working on that) but my mom always has me design our “family” card. Last year after we finished DIY fix-ups to our 40s beach house I water-colored our house on a card and added some cute text. Seasons Greetings!

    Oh please, please EMMY ME!
I have done handmade Christmas cards the past two years and since getting married a year ago, I now can drag my husband and his dog into the mix too! I force a picture session on him and usually end up with something goofy of us trying to corral the animals. So, handmade it is again this year! I can’t think of a better way but to let someone else design it!

EMMY ME! I’ve been a bit scroogie with Christmas cards as of lately. I love to receive them but feel like the days are slipping away. One of my relatives did a Thanksgiving card one year – telling how thankful she was for her family and friends. I’ve toyed with the idea of a New Year’s greeting. We’ll see how I do!

For the past many years, I have had to suppress my desire to have a holiday greeting tradition since my husband and I were in the Peace Corps and then we were saving to purchase an apartment while going to Grad School. This past June we became the happy homeowners of Apt. 3A! Holidays of 2009 will be the first year of the rest of our seasonal greetings traditions – Would love for Emmy Lu to be part of it!
