Fab Freebie: Seasons’ Greetings

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

Yes, I know it looks like I have a misplaced apostrophe up there, but trust me on this one. This week’s prize will have one of you sending handwritten greetings across all seasons of the year (see, I’m looking less punctuationally deviant already).

Shout Out Emmy Lu

As you may recall from Friday’s thank-you-to-our-sponsors post, Emmy Lu Design Studio is an awesome source for beautiful custom stationery with a DIY twist. Once you pick the style and fill in the custom details (whether it be a holiday card, personal stationery, an invitation or even a baby announcement) Emmy Lu hooks you up with a ready-to-print PDF. That means you can print as many as you want (whether you need five or five million), on any paper you want (bargain or mega-fancy-pants), for as long as you want (the file’s yours for eternity). Kinda genius, no?

Emmylu Giveaway

And since it’s nearly impossible to pick your favorite design, this week’s winner is getting a year’s worth of them! That means a new card/invite/announcement of the winner’s choosing for every month of the year (which loosely translates to 12 excuses to throw a party, pen a thank you note or even write your mom a letter for crying out loud).

So here’s how you can get your hands on these greetings by the dozen:

  • PRIZE: One custom Emmy Lu design per month (of $50 or less) for an entire year (that’s up to a $600 value!)
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “EMMY ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us what you do to send seasonal greetings. Do you pose for a traditional family Christmas card? Or something quirkier (like photoshopping your chihuahua)? Maybe you abstain from the madness completely?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 9th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Anywhere in the world!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

Since I just got married, we may be starting one of those “family” photo card traditions this year. However, the only child in sight will be our dog, Boomer. Should be fun.

I’m really looking forward to getting married and having little ones so I can make some cute photo cards. :) For now, it’s just traditional cards. However, this year and last year I have been into making funny Elf Yourself videos and sending them to my family. My mom laughs every time. :)

Usually we abstain from the Christmas cards, until this year (we added our own little bean in 2008). Photo card, letter and REALLY late birth announcements will all go out in the same envelope! :o)

I am a huge fan of snail mail, so I love mailing out picture Christmas cards. Typically I make my poor husband take tons of pics with me so that I can find the “perfect” picture for our card. Not this year (trust me, my man is a happy camper)! This year I went through all of the (millions) pics that we have taken this year and picked out my fave. I order the cards and they will be here tomorrow. When I told him that it was all finished he was surprised since he didn’t have to sit somewhere in the house for hours pretending to smile for the camera. ;)

This is our first Christmas as a married couple and we just found out that the Army is transferring us the week after Christmas so we’re feeling a little bit of pressure to pull off Christmas. BUT if it weren’t up to this move eating up our budget, I’d really like to do a cute card to all of our friends and family.

We’ve never really had a traditional family photo taken, and it’s nearly impossible to get all 3 of our girls together for a decent photo. Therefore, I usually design my own cards with 3 separate photos. However, this year, I may try to take our own version of the traditional (our family = quirky) family photo for our Christmas cards …we shall see … :)
