Fab Freebie: Seasons’ Greetings

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

Yes, I know it looks like I have a misplaced apostrophe up there, but trust me on this one. This week’s prize will have one of you sending handwritten greetings across all seasons of the year (see, I’m looking less punctuationally deviant already).

Shout Out Emmy Lu

As you may recall from Friday’s thank-you-to-our-sponsors post, Emmy Lu Design Studio is an awesome source for beautiful custom stationery with a DIY twist. Once you pick the style and fill in the custom details (whether it be a holiday card, personal stationery, an invitation or even a baby announcement) Emmy Lu hooks you up with a ready-to-print PDF. That means you can print as many as you want (whether you need five or five million), on any paper you want (bargain or mega-fancy-pants), for as long as you want (the file’s yours for eternity). Kinda genius, no?

Emmylu Giveaway

And since it’s nearly impossible to pick your favorite design, this week’s winner is getting a year’s worth of them! That means a new card/invite/announcement of the winner’s choosing for every month of the year (which loosely translates to 12 excuses to throw a party, pen a thank you note or even write your mom a letter for crying out loud).

So here’s how you can get your hands on these greetings by the dozen:

  • PRIZE: One custom Emmy Lu design per month (of $50 or less) for an entire year (that’s up to a $600 value!)
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “EMMY ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us what you do to send seasonal greetings. Do you pose for a traditional family Christmas card? Or something quirkier (like photoshopping your chihuahua)? Maybe you abstain from the madness completely?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 9th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Anywhere in the world!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

    EMMY ME!!

For Christmas Greetings I make all my own cards, still a few to make so I’d better get a wriggle on! I love the idea of having the perfect excuse to have 12 events throughout the year. Thanks.

Emmy Me! When my kids were younger I always sent a photo Christmas card of them to friends and family. But now that they’re older, I send out cards from Papyrus (my fav stationery store).

We normally do a photo card for the holidays. This year we are thinking about skipping it to save money and waste. We’ll see… I usually say that at this time of year, but then I just can’t help but send a card.

I’ve gone the handcrafted route in the past (with my Gocco) but we’re expecting our first baby sometime before Christmas — so this year I’m totally skipping the tradition holiday card and sending out a joint birth announcement/new year’s wish after the 1st.

I send out store bought cards each year, but I always choose “seasons greetings” rather than denominational or even general holiday. More of a wish for a beautiful season and happy new year than a holiday card.

    EMMY ME!!!!!

I’m a “card person” by nature. I would definitely enjoy this freebie, throughout the entire year. When it comes to christmas cards I’m more into writing a personal message on each christmas card that has been handmade or personalized for that particular person. I haven’t gotten into the whole mass printed photo card yet. BUT maybe when we have something to show the world a photo card will be just the ticket!

    EMMY ME!

Last year was our first year sending out Christmas cards. We were expecting our first child and excited to send out a “family” holiday card with pictures of “the bump”! This is our first Christmas with our little guy. He was born almost six weeks early and we spent a month in the hospital last winter. We are really looking forward to sending holiday cards with our family photo on them to those closest to us, to show how strong and healthy our little miracle has become! Winning the year’s worth of cards would be like a dream come true for us! We could use them right after Christmas for his 1st birthday party invitations, etc.

PS…Congratulations on your “bump”! It is the most amazing journey you can possible imagine. Enjoy this special time and thank you for documenting your amazing home with the world!

I have a weak spot for paper and fabric both, so this give away has me super excited. My hubby and I are actually sending out our first Christmas cards this year, so we did a posed shot (with a modern spin). Can’t wait to get them back from the printer! :)

Emmy me! Since my son was born I’ve been doing the photo cards. I like taking a great shot from the summer for our cards, nothing like a reminder of warm weather! For other holidays or birthdays I’ve been hand making cards with my son’s handprints or something like that.

EMMY ME – well I AM Emmy (just not the one doing the give away) :), and no, it isn’t a nick name, ha ha. This is a fabulous give-away (and cute shop name, cough cough). I tend to send out greetings in January after we have gotten everyone else’s updates and seen folks for the holidays. And it is a convenient way to include holiday thank yous!

We {in years past} sent our Christmas cards with pictures of us in our {generally outrageous} Halloween Costumes. While not the usual thing, we got compliments every year about how fun they are to open! People also make suggestions for us and try to guess our costume, too. It’s like a holiday game around here. This year, with a new baby, we’re sending pictures of him. But we can’t decide if we should include his Halloween Costume or not. : )

What an awesome freebie! I usually make my own cards with goodies from Paper Source. But with a bun in the oven (I’m a month ahead of you), I need to start thinking of better ways to send out holiday greetings. And just keeping the family up to date once the baby arrives. Good luck to all and congrats to whomever wins!

Our christmas card this year is a flat photo card with 3 images on it: one of me and my hubby, and one of each pup (we have 2) with a large red bow around his/her neck while sitting in front of the Christmas tree. It was hard work, but turned out great!

Man, I feel like the odds of winning the YHL giveaways are so low because they are soooo popular! I try to stock up on holiday cards right after Christmas. When we have kids, I’ll likely do photo cards. I love the idea of having the kids and the cat wearing Santa hats in the photo. The cat would hate it, which would make it even funnier. :)

This year, we’re using a photo card to announce that we’re pregnant to extending family – it’s just me and the hubby (and my belly!) next to the Christmas tree. Kinda corny, but this way I can avoid the familial “why didn’t you tell us” questions. LOL

EMMY ME! I tend to gravitate sending non-glitter Christmas cards which have a great holiday scene and a warm holiday greeting inside without all of the mush. I try to be unique. I’ll add a personalized note inside of each. This letter carrier appreciates all cards and/or letters sent this holiday season and every day of the year! THANKS!
