Nobody should ever lie to their significant other about anything, ever – you’re on the same team, you can’t afford that kind of bad space between you. Plus the stress of being less than honest is never worth it! If it’s a marathon, not a sprint, then take the momentary flack that may arise from telling the truth. It’s better than any of the alternatives. And it’s the only way to truly be free.

And I wish the lady we called to see how late our fridge delivery was going to be would have just admitted she didn’t want to call the delivery man because she was lazy, not because “He doesn’t have his phone on him, it’s in the truck and it might be awhile before he calls me back and so it could be 15-20 minutes before I call you back and I bet he’ll be there by then.” (It actually only took 5 minutes to get a hold of him and call us back and it was an hour before he actually showed up.) But yay new fridge!!!
