Fab Freebie: I’ll Stop The World & Felt With You

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries.***

I don’t use the word “adorable” very often, but I may just have to break it out for this week’s giveaway. Eleni Creative uses felt to make (here it comes…) adorable creations for babies, kids and even adults. And they’re offering up two great prize options for one winner this week.

For those who have a baby in the house or one on the way (or just really love mobiles), you can commission a custom felt mobile to fit the theme of your nursery or choose from one of Eleni’s existing designs, like flying birds – which looks great in a familiar looking nursery (because it’s one we house crashed last fall).

Felt Bird Mobile

Of course you can also request for something cheekier, like flying pigs (look at that awesome craftsmanship).

Felt Pig Mobile

And for older kids (or older kids at heart) you can opt for TWO of Eleni’s quirky stuffed animals called Zoonies. They’d obviously be fun for a kids room, but Sherry and I could see them adding a bit of whimsy to your usual collection of throw pillows too (the elephant could totally live on the daybed in our sunroom and the whale would even work on our bed).

Felt Zoonies

Here’s how to enter to get your very own felt creation:

  • PRIZE: One custom mobile OR two Zoonies from Eleni Creative.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “FELT ME UP!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: Since today’s title is a reference to one of my favorite classic 80’s songs, we’d love to know what your favorite songs from the 1980s are (feel free to include a link so we can all enjoy the blast from the past).
  • CONTEST CLOSES: Wednesday, September 30th at 8pm EST
  • WINNER: One lucky lady or gent, but we’ve got a discount lined up for the rest of you
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Just here in the US of A this time
  • THE USUAL: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

FELT ME UP….I had to giggle just a bit when I read this title (granted, I’m exhausted so that probably explains a lot..or a little).

Being that I was born in 1982, I don’t remember too many ’80’s SONGS but TV shows, WOOOHOOO…

like Rainbow Brite (the Sprites, the horse, the villians, the Color Kids…), The Fraggles (oh my, MY FAVORITE! I just saw the entire season on DVD for a mere 70 dollars…), The Gummi Bears, Blossom, Full House….ah, the memories :)

And the felt throw pillows would be oh-so-cute in our daughter’s nursery….or a felt mobile hanging over her yet-to-be-purchased crib! :)

I think we’re alone now – my 11 year old heart always thumped real hard when singing along to this song.

Any song by ABBA. They were winding down in the 80s – but I still consider them 70s/80s music!

    FELT ME UP!!!

I was born in 1979 and don’t remember too many 80’s songs from personal experience (I was listening to ballads and musicals and “oldies” via my parents in the car and via records at home), but now that I’m older and am married to a music obsessed man, I love just about anything by The Smiths, and I think all of their albums were from the 80’s. Nobody sings like Morrissey. Nobody.

But if you want to take a walk down memory lane concerning cartoons and toys and stuff, I’m your gal :O)

Love your choice of Modern English’s hit. Definitely among my faves.

But, could be that the Cure’s “Why Can’t I Be You?” is the greatest.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MI0a9hTh5AU

or maybe Talking Heads’ “And She Was”
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YgSVTdAtNYE

Might be Depeche Mode’s “People are People.”

Being only five when the decade ended, my knowledge of popular music at the time was limited. But the song in the title was covered for the movie “Sky High” which I probably shouldn’t have enjoyed so much since I was twenty when it came out.
