Wahoo. Hope you guys all had an awesome holiday weekend (you can see a sliver of ours here). As we mentioned on Friday, we’ll be stopping in with one quick post each day this week (amongst family hosting, feverish book-deadline writing, and priming & painting all of our kitchen cabinets). But we couldn’t wait to share today’s giveaway that we wrangled after seeing so much amazing stuff at our local Handmade Holiday craft fair. So this week’s lucky winner will get:

This Christmas, for my aunts, I made some fun wall art! I started with a 24″ paper mache letter (the first letters of their respective last names), and I modge podged black and white pictures of their families in all different sizes all the way around. The previous owner of our home left us boxes of tile for the second floor bathroom. We’ve been here 7 years and done nothing with them. This year I decided to turn them into coasters by decoupaging them with funky paper I found on sale at a big box craft store. Friends and family loved them!

My precious baby girl had her first birthday on Dec. 14th so as a sort of combination Christmas/b-day gift I made her a toy kitchen out of an old entertainment center. I love to craft and bake, and recently I’ve made two things that I’m very proud of. The craft was a pennant flag for my friend’s baby shower made of burlap, patterned scrapbooking paper, thin rope, and clothespins. It was so cute that my friend decided to hang it up in the nursery too! The baked item was Raspberry and Almond Shortbread Thumbprint cookies. Everyone LOVES them and I really think they are my new favorite cookie.
