Fab Freebie: From Our House To Yours

*** This giveaway is no longer accepting entries ***

This giveaway can be summed up in two words (well, one’s technically just a letter): Z Gallerie.

The fine people at the big Z.G. have been very good to us (you may remember the kind birthday present they recently sent Sherry), and now they’re about to be very good to one of you. They’ve graciously offered up not one, not two, not even just three, but FOUR pieces of their collection to one lucky reader. And we can personally vouch for each item because (here’s our favorite part) they’re all accessories that we’ve purchased for our own home. Yep, consider it your own little Young House Love starter kit of sorts. It includes:

The Large Atlantis Clam Shell (which we use as a fruit bowl in our kitchen, priced at $45)…

Img 3365

…Sherry’s cherished white Ceramic Rhino (priced at $25)…

Rhino From Zgallerie Cerami

…and two, count ’em two, Lucerne Sconces (totalling $80):

Candle Sconce Detail

That’s $150 worth of our favorite items from Z Gallerie. We had to buy ’em all (actually, I think every single one was a birthday present for Sherry at some point) but one of you is going to get them all on the house. To enter just comment on this post with the words “FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE!” by Wednesday, May 6th at 8pm EST. And while you’re there, we’d love to hear what you might consider a “signature item” in your home. Maybe something that you think is “so you” or that your friends would say is perfectly representative of your style. This giveaway is only open to US residents and only one entry per e-mail address is permitted. We’ll announce the randomly selected winner on Thursday. Good luck…

Oh, and is anyone surprised that all of the items are white? Didn’t think so…

    From Your House To Mine!

Oh boy, a signature item!? Yikes… not sure I’ve developed that yet. I’m going to be hanging this birdcage soon and I love it so much that I do HOPE people ooh and ahh over it. But, I can’t really say I have a signature piece that people just love, at this point…

From your house to mine, please!

I would say a signature item that will follow me wherever I go is an antique desk that I like to say was my grandmothers. (It’s not actually confirmed, it was just in her garage before the estate sale.) So…this desk is not just any desk, it is white(yay!) and has four small drawers across the elevated back which are perfect for stationary. Everything about this desk makes me happy which is why I plan to take if I ever move. Thanks!

    FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE!

I think the “signature item” in my house is our bedspread. It’s fluffy, warm, comfortable, cozy, clean, simple and beautiful. It wasn’t a huge investment, but the second I saw it, I had to have it and every time I make my bed I think “I love this bedspread!”

I can’t wait to get those items “From your house to mine”! My husband and I just bought our first house last month and I love reading your blog for inspiration. My favorite new piece is a set of white ceramic lamps with really modern black and white graphic floral print. I have a hot pink picture frame next to them on our sofa table. Totally my signature style!

FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE! One of my signature pieces is an old roll top desk that I picked up for $60 at a flea market. All it needed was a little sanding, a coat of paint and some new hardware. It looks like a million bucks now and makes me smile every time I see it!

A signature item would have to be anyone of the handmade prints, collages or photographs I make in my apartment. My friends are always begging me for an original piece of artwork. They are always surprised when they come over and they see something new and different!

I don’t really have a signature item, but I have a signature color. I’m really drawn to turquoise-y and teal-y blues, so I have a lot of items in those colors.

A sort of accidental signature around my house are garden gnomes. I got a pair in a White Elephant exchange on Christmas, and they have been a sort of joke gift since. They are “hiding” in different places around the house.

Wow! What a giveaway! I would have to say that the signature item in our home is a cherry armoire I found on Craigslist a couple of years ago before we moved into our first apartment together. We are about to purchase our first home, and the armoire just sums up our taste…Classic and chic, even secondhand! I love it! Thanks for entering me!
