Fab Freebie: From Our House To Yours

*** This giveaway is no longer accepting entries ***

This giveaway can be summed up in two words (well, one’s technically just a letter): Z Gallerie.

The fine people at the big Z.G. have been very good to us (you may remember the kind birthday present they recently sent Sherry), and now they’re about to be very good to one of you. They’ve graciously offered up not one, not two, not even just three, but FOUR pieces of their collection to one lucky reader. And we can personally vouch for each item because (here’s our favorite part) they’re all accessories that we’ve purchased for our own home. Yep, consider it your own little Young House Love starter kit of sorts. It includes:

The Large Atlantis Clam Shell (which we use as a fruit bowl in our kitchen, priced at $45)…

Img 3365

…Sherry’s cherished white Ceramic Rhino (priced at $25)…

Rhino From Zgallerie Cerami

…and two, count ’em two, Lucerne Sconces (totalling $80):

Candle Sconce Detail

That’s $150 worth of our favorite items from Z Gallerie. We had to buy ’em all (actually, I think every single one was a birthday present for Sherry at some point) but one of you is going to get them all on the house. To enter just comment on this post with the words “FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE!” by Wednesday, May 6th at 8pm EST. And while you’re there, we’d love to hear what you might consider a “signature item” in your home. Maybe something that you think is “so you” or that your friends would say is perfectly representative of your style. This giveaway is only open to US residents and only one entry per e-mail address is permitted. We’ll announce the randomly selected winner on Thursday. Good luck…

Oh, and is anyone surprised that all of the items are white? Didn’t think so…

I would say our signature item is my red striped chair that my husband and I bought when we first got married. I fell in love at first sight when I saw that chair!

I’d have to say the large china hutch that I found on craigslist would have to be my signature item. It’s green and has some really cute details and everyone says it’s very “me”! It perfectly works to hold our everyday dishes, drinkware, tons of teas, recipe books, oatmeal station and a couple bottles of liquor in the top glass cabinet area, plus all the storage in the bottom.

“From Your House to Mine!” my signature pieces in our home include a corner cabinet that I repainted sapphire blue (on the outside) while the inside of the cabinet is a very light pale blue. I also get comments on my sitting chair from Arhaus. It cost me a fortune but it was my splurge piece after buying our first house! I love yalls blog and read it every day!

My signature item is 4 pillows that I made that are placed in the chairs around our dining table. I love the fabric. It’s graphic and classic at the same time.

FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE! My signature item would be stripes. I can’t help but be attracted all things striped. To me, they are a perfect balance between masculine (for my husband) and feminine (for me). We have striped pillows, rugs, curtains, towels, bowls, etc.

My ceiling-high bookshelves crammed full of the books I can’t leave behind. They’re a pain to lug from place to place(and I’ve moved a lot in the last few years!) but they just spell home to me.

One signature piece that has traveled with me through 3 different homes so far is a photo that one of my best friends took in Greece…she had it blown up and framed as a birthday present for me after I told her how beautiful and artistic it looks!

Pretty much anything blue or “beachy” we have a lot of water themed items and my husband doesnt like any colors other than blue….which is fine since I do all of the painting, so in the end I can make the decisions :)

My signature piece is a 200 year old chair that someone gave to me for free – I’m sure they didn’t know what they were gving away. A little refinishing and some new fabric and it looks like nothing you could find in any store! Recycling at its best!

I would have to say that right now I don’t my signature piece but it will be a rustic french farm table that I will pair with a more contemporary kitchen. I’ll know the perfect table when I see it. Still looking though…

“FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE!” My signature piece isn’t even something I get to use in the house right now. It’s a duvet cover I made years ago. It is this funky crinkly gold material on the top half with a beautiful chinese silk hot pink with a gold damask print material the bottom. It sums me up completely. Not perfect, a little messy, but so much fun. I can’t wait to finish the spare bedroom and put it in there.

I love your blog and find something new everytime that I want to use in my new home.

My signature item would have to be the ceramic cat shaped doorstop that was culled from my late grandmother’s home. As a child I was absolutely fascinated by it and it quickly became my favorite “Not a toy, but may I please play with it anyway?” item. To this day, it lives on as a standout item and a favorite amongst friends who come to visit my home where it now resides as a treasured signature piece chock full of memories.

FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE! I would love, love, love to have that shell in our kitchen to hold random bags of jelly beans that my mom insists on sending, the last package of Pop-Tarts once we’ve thrown away the box, etc. etc.

Our home’s signature piece is our personalized ketubah (Jewish wedding contract), which depicts the place in Central Park where my now-husband proposed. It was created just for us by Atlanta artist and calligrapher Louise Baum.

{FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE} – the signature item in our home is first piece we bought. We finally bought our own place and got rid of our OLD hand-me-down furniture. It’s a large dark teak buffet/sideboard table. We love it!

When we moved into our house, I made {yes he was skeptical} my husband buy me this distressed dark red buffet/table/dresser type thing from Pottery Barn for my entryway. Once we got it the hubs loved it and it makes my day. I’m so glad it is the first thing people see when they walk in my door.
