This giveaway can be summed up in two words (well, one’s technically just a letter): Z Gallerie.
The fine people at the big Z.G. have been very good to us (you may remember the kind birthday present they recently sent Sherry), and now they’re about to be very good to one of you. They’ve graciously offered up not one, not two, not even just three, but FOUR pieces of their collection to one lucky reader. And we can personally vouch for each item because (here’s our favorite part) they’re all accessories that we’ve purchased for our own home. Yep, consider it your own little Young House Love starter kit of sorts. It includes:
The Large Atlantis Clam Shell (which we use as a fruit bowl in our kitchen, priced at $45)…
…Sherry’s cherished white Ceramic Rhino (priced at $25)…
…and two, count ’em two, Lucerne Sconces (totalling $80):
That’s $150 worth of our favorite items from Z Gallerie. We had to buy ’em all (actually, I think every single one was a birthday present for Sherry at some point) but one of you is going to get them all on the house. To enter just comment on this post with the words “FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE!” by Wednesday, May 6th at 8pm EST. And while you’re there, we’d love to hear what you might consider a “signature item” in your home. Maybe something that you think is “so you” or that your friends would say is perfectly representative of your style. This giveaway is only open to US residents and only one entry per e-mail address is permitted. We’ll announce the randomly selected winner on Thursday. Good luck…
Oh, and is anyone surprised that all of the items are white? Didn’t think so…

FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE! Wow! Fabulous. The signature pieces in our house would have to be the guitar and violin that are hanging on the wall above our mantel. It makes for beautiful art on many levels. :)

i would say either a sweet wooden candle holder i got during my time in Malawi, Africa… it’s two giraffes with intertwining necks. ooooor maybe a hand-me-down-hand-me-down crazy, ribbed, glass bowl from my sister in law. It’s a beautiful light aqua color (a favorite color of mine, obvious in my house)
Melissa says
From your house to mine. I would have to say a signature piece would be more of a color, aqua blue :)

My signature? I don’t think I have one … other than kid clutter. Maybe the red bench in our “mudroom”? Or the original poster from WWII era that shows a woman and her daughter in her kitchen, canning fruit and veggies? Maybe?? :o)

FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE! My signature piece would have to be either the mason jar chandelier I made or the “inlaid wood rug” I created from a piece of vinyl.

My signature item would have to be either my books (I’m a voracious rader) or a white Anthropolgie pitcher that looks like it has barnacles on it. I use it to hold my spatulas/wooden spoons/other kitchen utensils. I’ve looked forever, but for the life of me can’t find the name of it. It had a matching bowl too, but I bought the pitcher for cheap on eBay and haven’t been able to find the bowl.
As a Bio major and future Biology/Life Science teacher, I think my style is mostly influenced by designs and shapes found in nature. I am a big fan of Alfons Mucha and classic nature prints. Your house is so inspiring, I can’t wait to get my own, roll up my sleeves, and get to work!

We just framed a 16×20 picture of our puppy sleeping for the living room. It was really just cheap artwork, but everyone that comes over thinks it suits us perfectly. It adds a little whimsy to the room and we are totally obsessed with our pets!

FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE! Let’s see…signature item. I’d have to say the jungle mural that my daughter & I painted in our basement when we first moved here several years ago. No rhyme or reason for it…just something crafty to do and pretty random. That’s me!

I don’t know if it’s signature of us, but I love our large leaning Ikea Mongstad mirror in our bedroom. Everyone comments on it, including anyone that has serviced our house in the last year, and I just love it. Frankly, I love anything that looks way more expensive than it actually is.

I love taking pictures and having them around the house because not only do they become conversation pieces but they are a great way to remember how wonderful life is! A picture of my cat in an empty case of Poland Springs water can really cheer a person up, let me tell you! Thanks Sherry and John and ZGallerie!

The thing I would most say is my signature piece was actually my moms. She gave it to me. It is a dark brown leather tufted couch with a straight back and sides. Its from the seventies and I love it so much I even built my decor around it!
