Fab Freebie: From Our House To Yours

*** This giveaway is no longer accepting entries ***

This giveaway can be summed up in two words (well, one’s technically just a letter): Z Gallerie.

The fine people at the big Z.G. have been very good to us (you may remember the kind birthday present they recently sent Sherry), and now they’re about to be very good to one of you. They’ve graciously offered up not one, not two, not even just three, but FOUR pieces of their collection to one lucky reader. And we can personally vouch for each item because (here’s our favorite part) they’re all accessories that we’ve purchased for our own home. Yep, consider it your own little Young House Love starter kit of sorts. It includes:

The Large Atlantis Clam Shell (which we use as a fruit bowl in our kitchen, priced at $45)…

Img 3365

…Sherry’s cherished white Ceramic Rhino (priced at $25)…

Rhino From Zgallerie Cerami

…and two, count ’em two, Lucerne Sconces (totalling $80):

Candle Sconce Detail

That’s $150 worth of our favorite items from Z Gallerie. We had to buy ’em all (actually, I think every single one was a birthday present for Sherry at some point) but one of you is going to get them all on the house. To enter just comment on this post with the words “FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE!” by Wednesday, May 6th at 8pm EST. And while you’re there, we’d love to hear what you might consider a “signature item” in your home. Maybe something that you think is “so you” or that your friends would say is perfectly representative of your style. This giveaway is only open to US residents and only one entry per e-mail address is permitted. We’ll announce the randomly selected winner on Thursday. Good luck…

Oh, and is anyone surprised that all of the items are white? Didn’t think so…

My signature item would probably be the paint in my second bath – it is Blueberry Twist by Behr. It’s balanced by white ceiling, floors, toilet, vanity and shower enclosure. It’s bright but not claustrophobic. I love it!

    FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE!

In general our home is eclectic with natural items (wood, stone, maps, fur, ect.) used for decoration and inspiration… Our Signature item would be a large wooden bowl that a friend gave us as a wedding gift. The wooden bowl was carved from a single tree and is ~ 100 year old. It lives on our dinning room table where we fill it with our weekly fruit!

FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE! – I have lots of pieces from my grandmother. Her style was French Country. I’m pretty eclectic and love to mix styles so her stuff fits in perfectly. Probably my favorite and most signature is a set of her blue & yellow dishes I have on display in my dining room.

Oh love I have been drooling over your lovely white things for months now and because of the contest a rhino, a shell and a couple of sconces could travel from YOUR HOUSE TO MINE in a flash. Just think how cute that little rhino would be peaking out from my bookshelf!

    Oh the joy.

From your house to mine! My current signature item is the new Emile Henry oil cruet that my friend gave me for my birthday, because it’s the most perfect shade of teal and makes my little kitchen (where I spend far too much time) feel so much more luxurious.

The signature piece in our house is a steel coffee table that my extremely talented husband made for me before we were married! The table has a sand top covered with glass so it looks like a zen garden, which opens up to reveal a storage area (did I mention that my husband was creative!) He has only made one of these tables and it’s for me :). I love that no matter where we go, no one else will have that exact table!

    FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE!!

Oh. Be still my beating heart.

I’ve (politely) coveted each one of those amazing
Z Gallerie items ever since I saw them @ Young House Love.

I’ve drooled & dreamed of how the shell would look in MY kitchen (fabulous!). How the sconces would look in my dining room. (fabulous). How Reilly the Rhino would look on my shelves. (you guessed it. yep. fabulous).

As for my signature item, there are two. One, is people say that they can feel the L-O-V-E in our house. With two kids, a dog & various business issues…things can get hairy and definitely NOT go according to plan. But we try to keep it light. Keep the words coming out of our mouths kind. (someone said, taste ’em first. if they taste bitter to you before you say them, they’ll probably be pretty nasty to the hearer too…)

The second, is a beautiful antique coconut-colored French bookcase. It stands about 72 inches high…with a curved, carved thing going on. If I figure out how to upload pictures, I’ll send a picture because this thing is a BEAUT.

If the house were burning down — after I grabbed the hubs, the kids, the dogs, and wedding/baby/kid pictures…I’d try to take my bookcase because it’s the most beautiful one I’ve ever seen.

But, I’d LOVE to have your signature items in my home. I’d be happy as a clam on a sconce w/ a white ceramic rhino :-)

    XO
    Peace Out
    Katy Wilson
