Fab Freebie: Eat Bright

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries.***

This week we’re keeping the eco-friendly theme going with a freebie from Bright and Bold. They’re a great online resource for all sorts of green home wares, including the much-loved Envirosax bags and other items like jewelry and gifts. Plus, everything on the site ships to the US for free (our favorite four letter word), so you gotta give it them for making the world a happier place.

Bright And Bold Logo

This week we’re teaming up with Bright and Bold to offer up some earth-friendly products in a lunch-themed giveaway (shouldn’t more things in life be lunch-themed?). Three people can comment to win the perfect tools for a no-waste midday meal: their very own Klean Kanteen and a reusable Fresh Snack Pack bag. You’ve heard us rave about Klean Kanteens before (check it out here and here) and they’re consistently ranked as some of the best reusable, stainless steel bottles out there because they’re non-leaching and bpa-free. Which explains why we currently own three of them (only two are pictured because I keep one at work, so Burger’s filling in as an honorary member of the Klean Kanteen gang).

Bright Bold Kanteens

Along with the reusable water bottles, our trio of  winners will also score the Fresh Snack Pack bags which are a great reusable alternative to the traditional Ziploc disposable sandwich bags. They’re made of food safe, nontoxic, PVC-free, Pthalate-free plastic that’s easy to clean and it even folds out to make a placemat. So you no longer have to worry about getting mustard on your latest work assignment (or am I the only one who does that?).

Bright Bold Prizes

Here are this week’s entry details:

  • PRIZE: A reusable lunch kit from Bright and Bold (a 27oz Klean Kanteen in your color of choice & a Fresh Snack Pack of sandwich-sized lunch bags- valued at $34)
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “I’LL EAT BRIGHT” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: Tell us your favorite go-to option for lunch? Grabbing a bite at a local restaurant? Indulging in last night’s leftovers? A classic PB&J?
  • CONTEST CLOSES: Wednesday, August 12th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Three
  • PRIZE SHIPS: USA and our northern neighbors in Canada
  • THE USUAL: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner(s) will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

Until then, happy lunching…

I’LL EAT BRIGHT! I love eating leftovers from a great meal the night before, but I’m usually making assembly line lunches for my 3 kids to take to school.

    I’LL EAT BRIGHT!!

Go-to lunch? Sadly, probably a Lean Cuisine. What I love most sometimes, though, is a PB&J on grainy bread with an ice-cold glass of skim milk. YUM. (Comfort food!)

And my husband and I usually split up any leftovers we have for lunches. I plan our meals to account for lunch leftovers and then I usually pick up a few snacks to keep in my desk drawer at the beginning of the week. Today it’s cherries and yogurt covered pretzels – yum! On the rare occasions I buy my lunch, I’m always appalled at how much plastic is generated. Packing my own is so much greener!

    I’LL EAT BRIGHT!

Lately, lunch is terrifically unhealthy. I feel best when it’s a healthy salad. I don’t feel unhappy when it’s PB&J. Except now I’m addicted to almond butter. So I guess that’s an AB&J.

    I’LL EAT BRIGHT!

My husband and I just got back from a road trip to Maine, and we set a goal of not buying any food on the drive up. I’ll confess it was tough to keep on driving past all those TCBY’s in New Jersey, but our Ukrop’s hand-crushed almond butter and strawberry jelly on rice cakes hit the spot!

I try to bring left overs for lunch, if there is none cheese and crackers with grapes will do. On random days a slice of pizza will do.

I’ll eat bright! Leftovers are the usual lunch fare in our house. We’ll grill up a big batch of chicken, or make a casserole or something Sunday night, and that usually gets us most of the way through the week.

    I’LL EAT BRIGHT

I save money and my waistline by bringing my own lunch to work… but I know I wont eat soggy bread while my friends head to In n’ Out, so I go shopping on Sundays for makings of dinners that will be tasty as leftovers and a few treats to pack in my lunch bag.

Well, I’m trying to diet, eat a little better, so most days I eat some sort of salad with chicken. BUT one of my favorite quick lunches is 2 slices of the 40 cal Nature’s Own Bread, some Nutella and strawberry slices. Such a great sandwich, low in cals, and helps my sweet tooth! Try it!

i LOVE your blog and i’d LOVE to eat bright! my absolute favorite lunch option is last night’s left-overs! but, we usually only have enough left-overs for one and i send them with my honey to work. my second-favorite is a spring mix salad with tomato-basil feta, grape olives, oil and vinegar…with a pear on the side.

i’m so excited about the sandwich bag-i’ve been looking for a ziploc alternative and none of my creative solutions have been keepers!
