Fab Freebie: Book Worms Rejoice

***This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

So many book-hungry people out there! This giveaway hit its 10,000 cap within 24 hours, so we’re already back with a winner. The lucky worm is… Melissa (who keeps her favorite books in a bedside cabinet, a living room end table, and on a special display shelf in the family room. She believes “all good book nerds have them in all parts of the house!”). Congrats Melissa!

Our book release is officially here! Woo hoo! And we’re celebrating by giving away books this week. But not just our book. Lots o’ books. In fact, some of them will even come signed by some pretty awesome people. Woot! We’ve been gobbling up so many design, decor, and home books lately that we thought it’d be fun to share some of our recent faves from our library. So in addition to a signed copy of our new book, you’ll also be getting copies of the following (marked with an asterisk when signed!):

  • The Things That Matter by Nate Berkus
  • The Handbuilt Home by Ana White*
  • Design*Sponge at Home by Grace Bonney
  • Home by Novogratz by Robert & Cortney Novogratz*
  • Style Me Pretty Weddings by Abby Larson* (which releases next month)
  • Happier at Home by Gretchen Rubin*

BookGiveawaySMP

  • PRIZE: Copies of all of the books shown above, including signatures from us, Gretchen Rubin, Abby Larson, the Novogratzes, and Ana White!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “BOOK ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what special place in your home do you keep your favorite books? Do they get a prime spot on your coffee table? Or do you have a large collection of faves that fill a bookcase somewhere? Maybe your top pick at the moment just lives cozily on your night table?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Nov 7th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible – more on that here)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info.

BOOK ME! Most of my favorites live in the bookshelf of our entertainment center. However, my copy of your book was delivered on Saturday (thank you, pre-order) and it’s been on my nightstand ever since. It’s fabulous – great job!

BOOK ME! I keep my current read on my nightstand, and have a bookshelf in the living room for the rest. We have outgrown our bookshelf though, so I’m in the market for an awesome huge reclaimed wood bookcase, if anyone has any suggestions….

Book Me!! Between my husband and I, we have a ton of books, we’re well past the triple digits. Currently, we have two huge bookcases that we got from a garage sale when we first moved into our house. I have hopes of building a bookcase that spans an entire wall of our den. It may or may not include a sliding ladder if my childhood dreams have any say in the matter.

We have a few book “homes” at our house – but my favorite is in an exposed soffit above the cased entry to our dining room. It’s an unexpected shelving area with a dual function, and it makes me happy! :)

    BOOK ME!

First of all, CONGRATULATIONS on the book!

As for where I keep my books…. I’m an English teacher, so they’re kind of all over the apartment. I try to keep them contained to a bookshelf in my home office, but that’s sometimes easier said than done. A lot of them end up on my nightstand, since I like to read for fun before bed (if I’m not burnt out from grading 50+ college essays!).

BOOK ME! I keep my favorites in three spots: a bookshelf or classics in our living room arranged with pictures and trinkets of our wedding and such; a bookshelf in our dining room with magazines (Real Simple, Parenting, Nat. Geo.) and a bookshelf in our hallway with books from growing up (Dr. Seuss and college too)! My ideal would be a separate library with bookshelves from floor to ceiling and wall to wall – one day…
