So many book-hungry people out there! This giveaway hit its 10,000 cap within 24 hours, so we’re already back with a winner. The lucky worm is… Melissa (who keeps her favorite books in a bedside cabinet, a living room end table, and on a special display shelf in the family room. Our book release is officially here! Woo hoo! And we’re celebrating by giving away books this week. But not just our book. Lots o’ books. In fact, some of them will even come signed by some pretty awesome people. Woot! We’ve been gobbling up so many design, decor, and home books lately that we thought it’d be fun to share some of our recent faves from our library. My sweet (and handy) husband worked the whole summer on building custom built-ins in our office so now we have a beautiful place to display all our favorite books and treasures. But these might need to get displayed front and center so guests have ample opportunity to be jealous :) Yay for your book!

We have a few special places (I LOVE to read and have so many books).
Our entry, udner our wedding picture, has all our personal, meaningful books in a pretty stack: scrapbooks of our dating/married life, our wedding album, a book of love poems my husband bought me when we were “just friends.”
We installed (after hand staining…took FOREVER) two bookshelves on either side of a window with a trunk in between for a window seat. The bookshelves hold all our fiction and nonfiction favorites (a LOT of books!). It’s my favorite spot in the house. You know how your bedroom nooks “made” your first house? That’s how I feel about these bookshelves.
And then our design books are smack in hte middle of our coffee table for all to see! Which is where your book will go!
Oh, and my latest reads and my journal are on our bedside tables, of course.

All of our books have a special place on some pretty industrial looking shelves in the living room! But we just bought a house so home decorating books have found a home on our coffee table as we look through them!

“Book Me!” I keep all of my books on a bookshelf in our dining room {slightly unconventional, I know}, but I keep my favorites in the living room. They sit on top of our piano next to our big, comfy chair for quick access.

BOOK ME please! :-) Though I try to keep my books in our loft area on all the book shelves nicely organized, I definitely end up with a pretty massive pile right next to our living room couch so I have all my latest, greatest favorites (like YOUR book which should be arriving any minute to my house) right at my fingertips and for spontaneous moments of creativity :-)
