So many book-hungry people out there! This giveaway hit its 10,000 cap within 24 hours, so we’re already back with a winner. The lucky worm is… Melissa (who keeps her favorite books in a bedside cabinet, a living room end table, and on a special display shelf in the family room. Our book release is officially here! Woo hoo! And we’re celebrating by giving away books this week. But not just our book. Lots o’ books. In fact, some of them will even come signed by some pretty awesome people. Woot! We’ve been gobbling up so many design, decor, and home books lately that we thought it’d be fun to share some of our recent faves from our library. I keep all of our books on a bookshelf in our (tiny) living space, so they’re on display yet organized. I’ve mixed in little findings from our travels, like shells and cute knick knacks and totally agree with Nate B. on the fact that things do matter :) Would love to have his book, not to mention the rest of the stack in your giveaway.
PS. I’m going to your book signing on Wednesday in Boston!! I probably spend more time than I should perusing the shelves of the Fenway West Elm, and I can’t believe that you two will be there this week! Yay!

I have books proudly displayed throughout my house – many of these classic books came from the library of my grandfather. When I see them among my favorite things I can picture his library, his chair and most importantly him.

The current read(s) and the all-time favs. Longtime loves (no, I can’t walk out of a book store empty-handed…) are placed on the built-ins on either side of the fireplace that I asked my wonderful husband to make for me as my American Christmas-Russian Christmas-birthday gift several years ago.

As a self-describe book nerd, my books are EVERYWHERE. On the nightstand, on the coffeetable, in the kitchen, piled on the bookshelves in the office, and, most recently, stacked on a fun hanging shelf that the boyfriend made for me.
