Fab Freebie: Book Worms Rejoice

***This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

So many book-hungry people out there! This giveaway hit its 10,000 cap within 24 hours, so we’re already back with a winner. The lucky worm is… Melissa (who keeps her favorite books in a bedside cabinet, a living room end table, and on a special display shelf in the family room. She believes “all good book nerds have them in all parts of the house!”). Congrats Melissa!

Our book release is officially here! Woo hoo! And we’re celebrating by giving away books this week. But not just our book. Lots o’ books. In fact, some of them will even come signed by some pretty awesome people. Woot! We’ve been gobbling up so many design, decor, and home books lately that we thought it’d be fun to share some of our recent faves from our library. So in addition to a signed copy of our new book, you’ll also be getting copies of the following (marked with an asterisk when signed!):

  • The Things That Matter by Nate Berkus
  • The Handbuilt Home by Ana White*
  • Design*Sponge at Home by Grace Bonney
  • Home by Novogratz by Robert & Cortney Novogratz*
  • Style Me Pretty Weddings by Abby Larson* (which releases next month)
  • Happier at Home by Gretchen Rubin*

BookGiveawaySMP

  • PRIZE: Copies of all of the books shown above, including signatures from us, Gretchen Rubin, Abby Larson, the Novogratzes, and Ana White!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “BOOK ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what special place in your home do you keep your favorite books? Do they get a prime spot on your coffee table? Or do you have a large collection of faves that fill a bookcase somewhere? Maybe your top pick at the moment just lives cozily on your night table?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Nov 7th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible – more on that here)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info.

BOOK ME… I think the more appropriate question for me is where don’t I keep my books. I’m a librarian, so books are everywhere. I am even considering converting some kitchen cabinet space to store more books. The only “special place” are the shelves that hold books that are signed by my favorite authors. Books equal love!

    BOOK ME!

I have books in every room of the house right now as a grad student, but my favorite books go in the built-in bookshelves on either side of our fireplace.

    BOOK ME!

My favorite books have a set of bookends on top of my dresser. I couldn’t fit them all on my nightstand, so this is my compromise- off the nightstand, still in the bedroom.

BOOK ME! I have two personal bookshelves, one for fun, and one for more serious books that are important to me. One came from a resale furniture store, and was just plain ugly. I painted her shelves different colors, and used Modge Podge to paste on all kinds of fun things that are special to me.

BOOK ME! My favorite coffee table books are displayed on rotation (depending on the mood or season). We don’t like to display a library amount of books so ones that I’ve enjoyed but don’t want to hold on to will either be given to a friend or donated to Goodwill – that way, someone else can enjoy it rather than it collect dust :-)

BOOK ME! My favorite books are on display on our shelves in our living room. Those are styled to show nice, pretty things, as well as sentimental things. But the bottom shelf of these bookcases are the most important as there are storage bins full of toys for the kids.

    Book me!

My husband and I both teach history (me college, him high school), so we have books exploding out of our ears. A few years ago, we added built-ins to our living room, and all of our favorite books are displayed on the top shelf. We love it because the seeming randomness of the selection makes for a great conversation starter with friends.

Book shelves in each room with different books in coordinating colors. Slightly psychotic, but makes it possible to put them anywhere instead of hiding them away.

Ok so if I win, my Christmas list just got a whole lot shorter!! We have a love of books in our home with many special places. Chloe has a book cupboard where the majority live but favorites are rotated out to her play area. Ours are all over, book case, tables & my kindle can be found laying anywhere at any time I’m not reading!

BOOK ME! My favorite books are used as decor in different rooms of the house. The one I’m reading at the moment lives on my night stand. There are books stacked on my buffet in my dining room, on my dresser, and under a side table in the living room. That makes me sound like a book hoarder, but I’m not really! I like how a stack of three books looks with a small trinket on top or beside it.
