Fab Freebie: Book Worms Rejoice

***This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

So many book-hungry people out there! This giveaway hit its 10,000 cap within 24 hours, so we’re already back with a winner. The lucky worm is… Melissa (who keeps her favorite books in a bedside cabinet, a living room end table, and on a special display shelf in the family room. She believes “all good book nerds have them in all parts of the house!”). Congrats Melissa!

Our book release is officially here! Woo hoo! And we’re celebrating by giving away books this week. But not just our book. Lots o’ books. In fact, some of them will even come signed by some pretty awesome people. Woot! We’ve been gobbling up so many design, decor, and home books lately that we thought it’d be fun to share some of our recent faves from our library. So in addition to a signed copy of our new book, you’ll also be getting copies of the following (marked with an asterisk when signed!):

  • The Things That Matter by Nate Berkus
  • The Handbuilt Home by Ana White*
  • Design*Sponge at Home by Grace Bonney
  • Home by Novogratz by Robert & Cortney Novogratz*
  • Style Me Pretty Weddings by Abby Larson* (which releases next month)
  • Happier at Home by Gretchen Rubin*

BookGiveawaySMP

  • PRIZE: Copies of all of the books shown above, including signatures from us, Gretchen Rubin, Abby Larson, the Novogratzes, and Ana White!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “BOOK ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what special place in your home do you keep your favorite books? Do they get a prime spot on your coffee table? Or do you have a large collection of faves that fill a bookcase somewhere? Maybe your top pick at the moment just lives cozily on your night table?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Nov 7th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible – more on that here)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info.

    BOOK ME!
I got 16 running feet of oak library shelves for Christmas one year, and we have 9′ ceilings in that room. It is now officially “the library” but I must admit that as many books as are in that room, there are just as many in the kitchen, in the living room, in the dining room, in the office and in the bedrooms.
We also have a lakehouse and we added some built in bookshelves there, but not enough yet!!! So I added a glass-fronted bookshelf I got from my mother-in-law. And I’m planning built in bookshelves in our new lake kitchen when we renovate next spring…

BOOK ME! I’ve got a whole system – previously read faves are displayed on bookcases in my living room, a too-large stash of waiting to be read books is split between a bookcase in my bedroom and my nightstand, and my favorite art/coffeetable/pretty-to-look-at books are scattered throughout the house. Some are on the coffee table, some are on a sidetable in a reading nook, and some are displayed open to colorful pages on bookcases. Now that I write this all down, I realize it totally sounds like books are taking over my house….

I’ve been waiting to to get your book since you said it’s best to buy it at the signing, and I actually just decided to wait on Nate’s book as well…so I could get the porcupine ball and tray instead! And all the other books look great as well!

BOOK ME! My husband’s and my favorite author is Ted Dekker. We could easily borrow his books from the library and/or buy them for our digital readers but we have chosen to collect all of his books in hard cover. They take up a full bookcase in our living room. I love the way they look!
