Fab Freebie: Book Worms Rejoice

***This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

So many book-hungry people out there! This giveaway hit its 10,000 cap within 24 hours, so we’re already back with a winner. The lucky worm is… Melissa (who keeps her favorite books in a bedside cabinet, a living room end table, and on a special display shelf in the family room. She believes “all good book nerds have them in all parts of the house!”). Congrats Melissa!

Our book release is officially here! Woo hoo! And we’re celebrating by giving away books this week. But not just our book. Lots o’ books. In fact, some of them will even come signed by some pretty awesome people. Woot! We’ve been gobbling up so many design, decor, and home books lately that we thought it’d be fun to share some of our recent faves from our library. So in addition to a signed copy of our new book, you’ll also be getting copies of the following (marked with an asterisk when signed!):

  • The Things That Matter by Nate Berkus
  • The Handbuilt Home by Ana White*
  • Design*Sponge at Home by Grace Bonney
  • Home by Novogratz by Robert & Cortney Novogratz*
  • Style Me Pretty Weddings by Abby Larson* (which releases next month)
  • Happier at Home by Gretchen Rubin*

BookGiveawaySMP

  • PRIZE: Copies of all of the books shown above, including signatures from us, Gretchen Rubin, Abby Larson, the Novogratzes, and Ana White!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “BOOK ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what special place in your home do you keep your favorite books? Do they get a prime spot on your coffee table? Or do you have a large collection of faves that fill a bookcase somewhere? Maybe your top pick at the moment just lives cozily on your night table?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Nov 7th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible – more on that here)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info.

    BOOK ME!

I am a self admitted book “junkie” and decorating books are my most favorite! They happened to be all over my house…however, my favorites reserve a spot on the ottoman in front of my cozy sofa.

Most of my books are on a bookshelf in a spare room, but books get left all over the house, I don’t consider that mess I consider it decoration!

BOOK ME! I stash books EVERYWHERE in the house. We have a huge built in in the basement, which is where most live. But all of my favorite cookbooks live in the kitchen and my very favorite books live in my study. That is, when they’re not perched on my nightstand.

BOOK ME!! I wish I could say I had one special place for books that I love, but they just take up whatever space is available in the house…always at hand that way. (Your book is on the truck for delivery to my house as we speak…so excited!!!)

    Book me!

I have books everywhere… I’m thinking of letting many of the text-only books (novels, etc.) go to Goodwill and re-buying them as e-books, in an effort to de-clutter. Home deco, craft, and cookbooks still need to be hard copy, though!

Book me! Most of my books live organized by topic on my bookshelves (design is in it’s own section, of course). There’s always a few scattered around within easy reach, though. These would be so great to add to my collection and congrats on the book launch!

BOOK ME! Our books live on 4 bookshelves throughout the apartment (except for cookbooks, which live in the kitchen). My current reads are usually from the library, so they have their own spot, and the book I’m reading now lives on my nightstand. I would love to add some design books to my collection, as I currently own none! (Though I’ve asked for yours for Christmas and I’ve dropped enough blatant hints that my husband should know I really want it ;-)

Books live in various places throughout our home; on the bookshelves in our basement office, snuggled into whatever nook and cranny is free on our living room shelves….but my favorite books, they pretty ones, are displayed on my dresser in our bedroom. Sometimes at night if I can’t sleep I visit them : )
