So many book-hungry people out there! This giveaway hit its 10,000 cap within 24 hours, so we’re already back with a winner. Our book release is officially here! Woo hoo! And we’re celebrating by giving away books this week. But not just our book. Lots o’ books. In fact, some of them will even come signed by some pretty awesome people. Woot! We’ve been gobbling up so many design, decor, and home books lately that we thought it’d be fun to share some of our recent faves from our library. When we moved into our current house, the basement was unfinished. Part of our contract was the builder would finish the basement before we purchased. One of the requirements was having a full wall of bookshelves in the family room. So all my favorite books (and everyone else’s favorite books) are housed on a feature wall of floor to ceiling book shelves, with a few personal trinkets thrown in! :)

I have several dog-eared books on my nightstand, a few “pretty” books (including yours!) stacked on a vintage credenza in the living room, and a book shelf in the living room is full as well… ALTHOUGH, inspired by you guys, several months ago, I got frustrated by all the hundreds of books crammed in there every which way, most of which I wouldn’t read again, and I wanted to make it look a little more styled. Books are HARD for me to get rid of, but I did it! And covered the back of the bookcase with pretty paper, and spent 2 hours making the accessories on the shelf “just so”, a la Sherry Petersik!
