Fab Freebie: Book Worms Rejoice

***This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

So many book-hungry people out there! This giveaway hit its 10,000 cap within 24 hours, so we’re already back with a winner. The lucky worm is… Melissa (who keeps her favorite books in a bedside cabinet, a living room end table, and on a special display shelf in the family room. She believes “all good book nerds have them in all parts of the house!”). Congrats Melissa!

Our book release is officially here! Woo hoo! And we’re celebrating by giving away books this week. But not just our book. Lots o’ books. In fact, some of them will even come signed by some pretty awesome people. Woot! We’ve been gobbling up so many design, decor, and home books lately that we thought it’d be fun to share some of our recent faves from our library. So in addition to a signed copy of our new book, you’ll also be getting copies of the following (marked with an asterisk when signed!):

  • The Things That Matter by Nate Berkus
  • The Handbuilt Home by Ana White*
  • Design*Sponge at Home by Grace Bonney
  • Home by Novogratz by Robert & Cortney Novogratz*
  • Style Me Pretty Weddings by Abby Larson* (which releases next month)
  • Happier at Home by Gretchen Rubin*

BookGiveawaySMP

  • PRIZE: Copies of all of the books shown above, including signatures from us, Gretchen Rubin, Abby Larson, the Novogratzes, and Ana White!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “BOOK ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … what special place in your home do you keep your favorite books? Do they get a prime spot on your coffee table? Or do you have a large collection of faves that fill a bookcase somewhere? Maybe your top pick at the moment just lives cozily on your night table?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Nov 7th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible – more on that here)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info.

I keep them in my TV cart, so I can pull them out and flip through when my husband hogs the remote and watches boring stuff.

I show off all my books on my bookselves which are the focal point of the room. I LOVE hardcover books and get in heated dabates often about real books vs. e-books.

    BOOK ME!!

I keep my design books in my family room. I like to browse through then when there is nothing good on TV or my DH is watching sports. I also have my other books on my nightstand and also on my phone. I like that I can squeeze in a chapter here and there when I normally would be waiting somewhere.

BOOK ME!! Books are pretty much everywhere at home, overflowing my nightstand, bookcases in every room. I would love to build some built-ins one day. I don’t have a lot of “coffee table” books, so these would make an excellent addition to my collection! And would be prominently displayed for all to admire.

    BOOK ME!!
When we moved into our current house, the basement was unfinished. Part of our contract was the builder would finish the basement before we purchased. One of the requirements was having a full wall of bookshelves in the family room. So all my favorite books (and everyone else’s favorite books) are housed on a feature wall of floor to ceiling book shelves, with a few personal trinkets thrown in! :)

Books live everywhere in my house (drives my hubby nuts)! Current reads are on the nightstand and tables in the living room. Favorites are incorporated into bookshelves or into seasonal decor if the spines coordinate with whatever’s on the mantle at the time. ;)

BOOK ME!!! All of the above!! I have several dog-eared books on my nightstand, a few “pretty” books (including yours!) stacked on a vintage credenza in the living room, and a book shelf in the living room is full as well… ALTHOUGH, inspired by you guys, several months ago, I got frustrated by all the hundreds of books crammed in there every which way, most of which I wouldn’t read again, and I wanted to make it look a little more styled. Books are HARD for me to get rid of, but I did it! And covered the back of the bookcase with pretty paper, and spent 2 hours making the accessories on the shelf “just so”, a la Sherry Petersik!
